ordering with par levels Too much inventory can spoil and go to waste, which is expensive. It also creates overcrowded storage areas and disorganization, which could lead to under-counting and over-ordering. On the other hand, too little inventory can create lost sales due to unavailable items, which leads to disappointed guests and stressed servers and managers. One solution to these problems is to set par levels for each item. Par levels are simply the quantity of each item in your inventory that you need on hand to make it to your next delivery. If your stock falls below this level, then it is time to re-order. By integrating the power of Sysco Mobile for ordering and Sysco s Mobile Inventory for inventory tracking, Sysco has a solution that allows you to set par levels for any given item in the ordering app and based on the current inventory count entered into Mobile Inventory, create a recommended order quantity, making it easy to order the right amount at the right time. To create new par groups: creating par groups 1. Log into Sysco Mobile. 2. Open the list items for which you want to set par levels. Note: You can set par levels for items in Sysco lists, custom lists, or the order guide. 3. Tap the Order Mode button. 4. Tap Manage Pars to switch to Manage Pars mode. 5. Tap Edit. 6. In the text field, type the name of the new par group. 7. Tap the plus icon to add the new par group. 8. The new par group displays. Tap the plus icon to add more par groups as needed. Note: Par groups display in the order the were created. 9. Tap Done. 3 November 2016
managing par group To select a par group or toggle to a different par group: 1. Tap the No Par Group button. Note: If you are already in a par group, tap the par group name. 2. Tap a par group name to display the par group. To edit or delete a par group: 1. In Manage Pars mode, tap Edit. A list of all of your par groups displays. 2. To edit a par group name, tap on the name and then retype the par group name. 3. To delete a par group, tap the minus icon to display the Delete button. 4. Tap Delete. 5. Tap Done. 4 November 2016
setting par levels You can now enter par levels for any item in your par group. To set par levels: 1. Select the par group, if not already selected. 2. Enter par levels for the items. 3. Tap Manage Pars to toggle back to Order mode. Par quantities display in blue for each item with a set par level. 5 November 2016
To place an order from inventory: ordering from inventory 1. Tap the menu icon in the upper left corner, and select Order from Inventory List. Note: The Total Inventory quantities displayed in blue flow from the most recent inventory counts in Sysco Mobile Inventory. 2. Tap the Order to Par button. The application uses the difference between on-hand quantity and the par level to place an order quantity. 3. Return to the order screen and add items to your order as needed. 4. If you don t have an existing open order, enter order header details. 5. Tap Create. 6. Return to the order screen and add items to your order as needed. 7. When you are ready to complete your order, tap the shopping cart icon. 8. Review your order, adjusting quantities if needed, and then tap Submit Order. 6 November 2016
