Tot & Pre-School Lemoore Recreation Dance The Tiny Toes Dance Program now combines Ballet and Jazz in one class. Throughout the session students will be taught basic ballet techniques. These techniques include the five feet and arm positions. They will learn how to use these positions to develop ballet movements. These movements will be put together to music to create dance. Participants will also learn basic jazz steps and styles. Children will also learn how music plays an important part in dance. Each session will include a dance performance. *Costumes are an additional fee. Enjoy an eight game season, weekly practices, evaluation, team placement, and scrimmage day. Practice times and dates are determined by volunteer coaches. Sponsor a Volunteen Sponsor a Volunteen with a generous $250 donation Volunteens are youth age 14 thru 17 years of age that attend a private or public school in the Lemoore High School District. They are the unsung heroes of the City of Lemoore s Summer Day Camp. Volunteens help keep camp enrollment fees low and gain valuable volunteer and employment experience in return. Volunteens work approximately 25 30 hours a week (for nine weeks) and are provided with a $200 stipend by a sponsoring business, community service organization, or private charitable donation. Help us keep Lemoore s Volunteen program alive with a $250 donation. $200 of your generous donation goes directly to the Volunteen you sponsor and $50 covers field trip expenses and uniform fees. Summer Camp Summer Camp 2014 Rockin the Rec. Summer Day Camp will keep your child active and entertained through the summer months. Camp is an all day program with breakfast and lunch provided by the KCAO Food Program. Campers can bring their own breakfast and lunch if desired. Camp activities include arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor activities, swimming, movies, picnics and a weekly field trip. Each week of camp will have a different theme with structured events developed from the theme. SPRING HORSE CAMP A favorite for ages 5 and up, our spring horse camp is back, Monday through Friday! Bring the kids to the ranch at 8:00 a.m. to begin their memorable horse experience. Campers will never forget this week of horse care, riding and fun in the great outdoors. They will all ride English, western and bareback in the arena and on the river! Fused Glass Class you make it we bake it Students will learn how to cut glass the easy way, how to use the right kind of glass for fusing, working with Dichroic glass developed by NASA. This is a fun class for those who want to make their own fused glass pendant. It comes with a bail and a soft one size fits all cord. Students will be making one pendant and a magnet. Air Rifle Range The Lemoore Recreation Department is proud to announce the addition of an Air Rifle Range to the Lemoore Recreation Center. A pilot program was developed at the end of 2013 for 7th and 8th graders and was a huge success. Students attended a one day safety training and were required to pass a test before entering the marksmanship classes.
