NFL American Football 2 Minute Overview The Football The game is played with an oval shaped ball. The goal is to use plays to progress the ball up the field. The ball is kicked, carried, thrown, taken away, protected. The Game Each game is played 60 minutes divided into 4 15 minute quarters. At the midpoint they do a halftime where teams are given time to rest and review before the next half. The Players NFL is a violent sport and consist of hitting and tackling other players.
