Harbor Springs Sk8 Park Opens for the Season Monday, May 18 at 3 p.m. Drop-In Pickleball (Beginner) Monday Nights: May 18 - September 7 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Pickleball is a combination of ping pong, tennis, and badminton. The game is played by 2 or 4 people on a badminton-sized court using paddles and a wiffle ball. Drop-in is for players who are looking for some friendly competition! Players just learning the sport of Pickleball or anyone interested in honing their skills are invited to the Harbor Springs Sk8 Park Monday nights throughout summer for Beginner Pickleball. Drop-In Pickleball (Advanced) Thursday Nights: May 21 September 3 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Pickleball is a combination of ping pong, tennis, and badminton. The game is played by 2 or 4 people on a badminton-sized court using paddles and a wiffle ball. Drop-in is for players who are looking for some friendly competition! Skilled Pickleball players or those players looking for more intense competition are invited to the Harbor Springs Sk8 Park Thursday nights throughout the summer for Advanced Pickleball. Angry Birds Dodgeball Saturday, May 23 beginning at 6 p.m. Sk8 Park Garden Planting Saturday, May 30 from 10 a.m. to noon This summer the kids at the Sk8 Park will be planting and caring for a community garden. The food grown in the garden will be donated to the Harbor Springs Area Community Food Pantry. Fruit Ninja Water Wars Thursday, June 11 beginning at 11 a.m. Dinner and a Movie Nights Friday Nights: June 12 September 4 beginning at 5:20 p.m. (See Dinner and a Movie Night Schedule for Details) Friday nights this summer, the Sk8 Park will be showing a children/teen movie night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Participants interested in attending the event will pay $5 for pizza, pop, and a dessert. The Movie is free. Friday, August 21 Annie Friday, August 28 - Penguins of Madagascar Friday, September 4 - Night at the Museum 4 Harbor Springs Sk8 Park Awesome Ball Saturday, June 20 beginning at 7 p.m. Awesome ball is an exciting, fast paced game that combines the fun of handball, ultimate Frisbee, and basketball into one game. On Saturday, June 20, 2015 children of all ages are invited to the Harbor Springs Sk8 Park to play this AWESOME game. Participation is free. Father s Day Sunday, June 21 - Closed Angry Birds Dodgeball Wednesday, June 24 beginning at 7 p.m. Prison Ball Saturday, June 27 beginning at 7 p.m. Prison ball is a dodgeball-type game where 2 teams face-off against each other. Very exciting type of dodgeball game where players must be aware of their complete surroundings, front, back, sides. Balls flying from all over the place makes it challenging and lots of fun! On Saturday, June 20, 2015 children of all ages are invited to the Harbor Springs Sk8 Park to play this fun filled game. Participation is free. 4 th of July Closed Fruit Ninja Water Wars Thursday, July 9 beginning at 11a.m. Twilight Sk8 Saturday, July 18 from 7 p.m. to Midnight Twilight Sk8 is a fund raiser that takes place at the Sk8 Park from 7 p.m. to Midnight. The kids think it is really cool to skate under the lights and stay out past curfew. This event has been approved by City Council. Parents are required to sign a permission slip. Children are not allowed to leave the party once it starts unless their parent picks them up. After the event, parents are required to pick up their children; no child is allowed to leave the party unattended by an adult. This year s Twilight Sk8 parties will feature skating, pizza, prizes, glow in the dark games, and a few silly games. Kickball Saturday, July 25 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Everyone s favorite recess game is coming to the Sk8 Park. Come to the Harbor Springs Sk8 Park on Saturday, July 25 for fun and lots of laughs as kids of all ages play Kickball! No cost to participate.

Angry Birds Dodgeball Wednesday, July 29 beginning at 7 p.m. Water Balloon and Squirt Gun Carnival Games - Saturday, August from Noon to 3 p.m. Join the Harbor Springs Sk8 Park for a fun filled day of carnival inspired water games. Participants will try their luck at squirt gun duck hunt, bully s eye challenge, cup drop, connect 4, water balloon break, bucket catch, and water balloon target toss. Participants will earn tickets for each game they play. Tickets can be cashed in for prizes. Pizza, pop and cookies will be served to all participants. The event will culminate in a water balloon and squirt gun fight. Participants are asked to bring a bathing suit, towel and a dry clothes. This event is Free. Fruit Ninja Water Wars Thursday, August 6 beginning at 11 a.m. Learn to Play Disc Golf at Kiwanis Park Saturday, August 15 from 9:30 a.m. to Noon We will be holding introduction to disc golf clinics for beginners or anyone wishing to get some additional help with their game. There will be two sessions. The first will be from 9:30a-10:30a for ages 8-13. The second will be from 10:30 a.m.-noon for ages 14 and up. Season Pass Holder Party Saturday, August 22 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Season Pass Holder Party is an event designed to thank the participants that purchased a season pass. The party is closed to non-pass holders. This year s party will feature a pizza and ice cream party, pad races, skateboard bowling, prison ball, a tech deck games of sk8, a best trick contest. Angry Birds Dodgeball Wednesday, August 26 beginning at 7 p.m. Flashlight Tag Saturday, August 29 from at 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. A combination of tag and hide-and-seek, Flashlight Tag is so much fun on a late summer night. Playing at night makes it a livelier and more challenging game. Come to the Harbor Springs Sk8 Park on Saturday, August 29 to experience all of the fun of Flashlight Tag. Fruit Ninja Water Wars Saturday, September 5 beginning at 11 a.m.

Glow in the Dark Dodgeball Saturday, September 5 from at 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. This Glow in the Dark twist on Dodgeball is a favorite at the Sk8 Park. Played just like dodgeball only in the Dark! Glow necklaces and glow in the dark balls combine to make this game a must play! Harbor Springs Sk8 Park Closes for the Season Friday, October 16 at 8 p.m. Community Halloween Party and Trunk or Treat Saturday, October 31 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Harbor Springs Halloween Party and Trunk or Treat takes place in the vacant lot next to the park. From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. participants play games, watch a magic show, make crafts, and eat dinner. From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. members of the community pass out candy from the trunks of their cars which are parked in the Sk8 Park parking lot.
