STEWARDS REPORT Goulburn & District Racing Club GOULBURN RACECOURSE Friday 28th April 2017 Weather: Fine Track: Soft (5) Rail: Out 5m STEWARDS: J D Walshe, C G Polglase & cadet J Earl General: Trainer Mr P Cave pleaded guilty to a charge under AR 80E(1) in that when visited by Racing NSW Stewards on 24 April 2017 he was found to have on his stable premises an S4 veterinary preparation which had not been labelled in compliance with the relevant State and Commonwealth legislation. Given the nature of the substance and being unlabelled, and Mr Cave s unblemished record in relation to like offences, he was fined the sum of $200. General: An inquiry was today continued into comments made by trainer Mr K Goldman during an interview on SKY Racing on Monday 10 April 2017 prior to his runner, Hot Money, competing in Race 2 on that day. Whilst Stewards were satisfied that Hot Money which was on debut, had been suitably conditioned to compete in that race, albeit without a barrier trial, and that they were also satisfied that there were no integrity concerns with the subsequent handling and performance of the horse in the race, Mr Goldman was told he must be more mindful of the terminology and language he uses during such interviews, so that his comments cannot be interpreted in such a way so as to inadvertently raise integrity concerns.
