Box 105, Cambridge, Illinois 61238 Class Fee $10 for non-starred classes *Late Entries accepted at $15 per class until Monday, June 16, 2014. $4.00 fee for starred classes to cover the cost of the judges Exhibitor Ticket: Mandatory $13.00 Stall Fee: $10.00 per stall one horse per stall. Premiums - 75% Payout: 3 Entries or More 1st 50%, 2nd 30%, 3rd 20%; 2 Entries 1st 60%, 2nd 40%; 1 Entry 1st 100%. Single Starred classes will have an entry fee of $4.00 - But will NOT have Payback. You may start arriving at the fairgrounds after 5 p.m. Saturday! This rule will be strictly adhered to. All entries must be on grounds by 8 A.M. Sunday. Measuring will begin at 8:00 AM. Sunday, for those entries not possessing a current AMHR Measurement Card. ALL FOALS MUST BE MEASURED. The show will begin at 9:00 AM. in the Millennium building adjacent to the 4-H Horse Barn. STALL & GROUNDS INFORMATION: Stalls are approximately 6x6 or 8x4. One horse per stall. Wood shavings only, NO straw. Stalls are temporary strongly recommend STALLIONS be tied. Horses will be housed in the sheep barn. ALL classes will be held in the indoor arena. Camping is permitted on the fairgrounds. Some electrical hook-ups are available at $10.00 per day. No water or sewage hook-ups. Wood Shavings available on the grounds. All exhibitors are responsible for cleaning out stalls before premium checks are issued. GENERAL SHOW RULES MINIATURE HORSE SHOW HENRY COUNTY FAIR 2014 This show will be run under the rules set forth in the current revision of the AMHR rulebook. All persons are notified that any misconduct or disobedience to the judge or show officials, by any exhibitor, trainer, or parent shall be cause for disqualification. In such cases, all entry and stall fees shall be forfeited. All horses not possessing a current (within 60 days) temporary or permanent measurement card will be measured Saturday night or Sunday morning, preceding the show. ALL foals must be measured. Dogs must be on a leash, or confined at all times while on fairgrounds. If tied in a barn, they must be within the stall area without access to the aisle. Dogs will not be allowed in the arena at any time. Trucks and trailers must be parked in the area assigned by show management. There will be a $10.00 service charge on all returned checks. ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS. NO CHANGING OF CLASSES ON SHOW DAY! (Except for measurement purposes). Another horse may be substituted. No horse shall be entered, or allowed to show, unless the owner/exhibitor shows proof of registration and height verification to show officials. Please carefully read AMHR s current height rules. Illinois State Law requires a current negative Coggins Test (within 12 months) and ALL out of state horses require current (within 30 days) health papers and MUST have a permit. This is for all horses on the grounds. Henry County Fair is not responsible for accidents to exhibitors, spectators and/or livestock. Stalls are temporary; therefore it is strongly recommended that all stallions be tied. All exhibitors must purchase an Exhibitor Ticket - $13.00. Non-exhibitors must pay a $5.00 daily pass or purchase a $22.00 fun pass for the week ($25.00 if purchased after June 9). Exhibitor tickets will be mailed prior to show. Because of limited barn space, no tables, chairs or other display items will be allowed in barn aisles. Tack stalls available on limited basis. AMHR now requires an Amateur card to show in such classes. Available from AMHR Office for $5.00. Please list amateur on the entry blank. Premium checks will be made payable to the EXHIBITOR only! SPECIFIC RULES AND REGULATIONS: This miniature horse show is being run according to the rules of ASPC/AMHR and is being sponsored by the Henry County Fair. Neither shall the ASPC/AMHR, the Henry County Fair, nor anyone working with the show will be held responsible for any accidents that may occur to persons, animals, or property. The exhibitors shall hold the aforementioned persons harmless and indemnify them against any legal proceedings arising from such accidents. Entries coming from out of state are expected to conform to health requirements for interstate transportation of equines from their state of residence, to the state of Illinois. The show committee reserves the right to ask for an on-site Veterinarians inspection, at the owner s expense, for any animal appearing in poor health. Before unloading, exhibitors are asked to check in at the show office to obtain a show packet. No more than ONE horse per box stall. It is your responsibility to list, on the entry sheet, the correct person as Exhibitor or Handler. This is important so credit can be given to the right people for the year-end awards. It is also your own responsibility to keep track of points also needed in some cases at year s end. Animals not possessing a permanent measure card or current 2014 card MUST BE MEASURED. This includes ALL foals. Please include known heights on your entry form. Measurement will be 8:00 a.m. SUNDAY. See the AMHR rule book for height requirements. Entries must be postmarked by June 9, 2014. Monetary fees and a copy of REGISTRATION PAPERS, front and back, (unless pending) must accompany entries. Entries received without payment, or without necessary health, Coggins or registrations copies will not be posted and will be subject to a late fee. When signing the entry form, which MUST BE SIGNED in order to be accepted as an entry, you are stating that you will abide by the above rules and regulations. Appropriate attire will be necessary for showing. This includes long pants, a long sleeve shirt, boots or shoes. SHOWMANSHIP classes require you wear a hat, gloves and boots. AMHR Sanction Optional classes with 3 or fewer entries may be eliminated the following year. Hereby releases, waives, discharges and covenants not to sue the promoter, participants, racing association, sanctioning organization of any subdivision thereof, track operator, track owner, officials, car owners, drivers, pit crews, any persons in any restricted area, promoters, sponsors, advertisers, owners and lessees of premises used to conduct the event and each of them, their officers and employees, all for the purposes herein referred to as lessees, from all liability to the undersigned, his personal representatives, assigns, heirs, and next of kin for any and all loss or damage, and any claim or demands thereof on account of injury to person or property or resulting in death of the undersigned, whether caused by the negligence of the lessees or otherwise while the undersigned is in or upon the restricted area, and/or, competing, officiating in, observing, working for, or for any purpose participating in the event. 2. Hereby agrees to indemnify and save and hold harmless the lessees and each of them from any loss, liability, damage, or cost they may incur due to the presence of the undersigned in or upon the restricted area or in any way competing, officiating, observing, or working for, or for any purpose participating in the event and whether caused by the negligence of the lessees or otherwise. 3. Hereby assumes full responsibility for and risk of bodily injury, death or property damage due to the negligence of lessees or otherwise while in or upon the restricted areas and/or while competing, officiating, observing, or working for or for any purpose participating in the event. Each of the undersigned expressly acknowledges and agrees that the activities of the event are very dangerous and involve the risk of serious injury and/or death and/or property damage. Each of the undersigned further expressly agrees that the foregoing release, waiver, and indemnity agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the law of the Province or State in which the event is conducted and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect. The undersigned has read and voluntarily signs the release and waiver of liability and indemnity agreement, and further agrees that no oral representations, statements or inducements apart from the foregoing written agreement have been made.
