Classes 1 to 4 include two phases, Control of Paces (MA) and Obstacles (PTV) The MA takes place over 50m to 150m. Each pace will be awarded 50% of the points accrued via the sliding scale look up tables, i.e. the maximum score for each pace will be 15. The PTV course of ten obstacles is simulated to represent those you might meet out hacking, and is designed to test riding skills, the training of your horse and the accord between you. Results from each of the affiliated classes 1-4 (above) of paid up members of TREC GB will count towards the national Winter Leagues. League points will be awarded depending on finishing position in the class: 10 points for 1st down to 1 point for 10th place. A competitor s four highest points will be counted for the League. In the event of equal positions, total actual PTV scores (from all those 4 events) will be taken into account. Masterson Method will give a special rosette to every horse and rider combination scoring 100 in the PTV section awarded at the end of the season. Entries for Classes 1 to 4 close: Monday 8 February 2016. You will be notified of your start time(s) by e- mail by Thursday 11 th. Additional unaffiliated classes which will run if time permits, please tick the appropriate box(es) on the entry form, entries payable on the day. Class 5 Top Score Open to all horses and riders. There will be no Control of Paces. Riders will be set a time limit, and will ride the course of obstacles once, then in any remaining time, will ride their own selection of obstacles, in the correct direction, with the aim of gaining as high a score as possible. Four obstacles must be completed before any is re- ridden. Only obstacles completed without fault will count towards the rider s score; i.e. Bending, if ridden perfectly in trot, would score 7. Corridor, if ridden in canter, but with one touched pole, would not count towards the rider s score. A joker, doubling the score of that obstacle, may be included. In the event of a tie, a rider scoring over the fewer number of obstacles will be placed higher than a rider with the same score gained over a greater number of obstacles. Class 6 Clear Round Five- in- Hand Open to any Horse+Rider combination who have not been placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in two or more NEWCOMER classes, or one INTERMEDIATE, or one OPEN class, in Winter Series TREC competitions prior to 1st October 2015. Within a given time limit, riders will pick their own line through 5 obstacles of their choice, each approached in the correct direction. WHAT IS THE MASTERSON METHOD? The Masterson Method is an integrated, multi- modality method of equine massage and bodywork that allows the horse to release deep, accumulated pain and tension in muscles and connective tissue. Through the use of light touch and gentle movement in a relaxed state, and observation of a range of the horse's responses (these visual and palpable responses tell you what the horse's body is feeling), you will open doors to improved health and performance while enhancing communication and relationship with your horse. Make your horse more relaxed and comfortable. Enable your horse to overcome limitations and restrictions that stand in the way of reaching his full potential. Without a doubt, Jim Masterson's work is AMAZING! It is gentle, effective and strengthens the bond and communication between you and your horse. His method directly complements what I do while training. For me, it's the perfect combination of both 'physical therapy' from the ground and from the saddle." ~JANE SAVOIE Three- Time Olympic Coach, Speaker, Clinician, and US Dressage Team Alternate Masterson Method UK Practitioners - sponsors of the winter series 2015/16 Holly Sharman Rosie Hume family.sharman@btinternet.com rosie3319@gmail.com Phone: 07739 189 691 Phone: 07786 545977 (Salisbury, Wiltshire, UK) (Norfolk, UK) Vicky Devlin Weekend Seminar Instructor, Certification Mentor, UK Seminar Coordinator &Coach vicky@mastersonmethod.com Phone: 07968 550758 (West Yorkshire, UK) Anne Deadman combinedequine@gmail.com Phone: 07531 428 939 Bern Easterford beasterford@homechoice.co.uk Phone: 07976533398 (Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Oxfordshire and Staffordshire, UK) Carina Di Battista & Coach cdbatt@hotmail.co.uk Phone: 077 668 01355 (Ringwood, Hampshire, UK) Cherie Walker cheriebotcha@gmail.com Phone: 01822 832391 (Cornwall, UK) Helen Cherry helen@helen-cherry.co.uk RULES Phone: & 07974-663452 CONDITIONS (Warwickshire/Midlands) Julie Green and Coach julie_mary_green@yahoo.co.uk Phone: 07960984085 (Devon, UK) Katherine Harberd katherine_harbd@hotmail.com Phone: 0780-3720501 (Herefordshire, UK) Liane Smith ls@maczona.freeserve.co.uk Phone: 07791 646 287 Phone2: 01428 480 778 (Hindhead, Surrey, UK) Leigh Jackson and Coach leigh_jackson@btinternet.com Phone: 07834 761098 (Cornwall, UK) Mitra Trop mtrop_mmcp@outlook.com Phone: 07999796625 (Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire) Richard Maxwell richardmaxwell19@aol.com Phone: 07764 404723 (Haverhill, Suffolk) Samantha Naylor ganaylor@btinternet.com Phone: Mobile 07542531864 (Hertfordshire, UK) Sophie England soph.england@btinternet.com Phone: 07870565535 (Somerset, Dorset & Devon) Tamsin Bendle tamsin_bendle@yahoo.co.uk Phone: 07717127073 (Redruth, Cornwall UK) Catherine Edwardes catherine.edwardes@btinternet.com Phone: 07711 203044 (Padworth, Berkshire) Laura Shakeshaft ldshakeshaft@yahoo.co.uk Phone: 07979362352 Susanne Franks Droitwich, Worcestershire.
