Where hildren or persons with limited physil, sensory or mentl pilities re to e llowed to ontrol this equipment, ensure tht this will only hppen under supervision or fter pproprite instrutions y person responsile for their sfety. Children should e supervised to ensure tht they never ply with the equipment. Risk of slding! If this is unvoidle, we reommend permnent temperture limit (see Temperture ut-out ). 1.4 Importnt informtion If the wter supply to the ppline! is interrupted, e.g. euse of risk of frost, or work on the wter pipe, the following mesures must e tken prior to ringing the ppline k into use: 1. Remove the fuses nd/or trip the MCBs, or swith off the ppline y mens of the temperture seletor ( OFF position). 2. Open drw-off vlve downstrem of the equipment until ll ir hs een purged from the old wter supply line nd the equipment. 3. Reple the fuses nd/or reset the MCBs or swith the ppline k on. 1.5 Hot wter output Cold wter tempertures vry depending on the time of yer. The following mximum output volumes, or mixed wter volumes, n e hieved with these different old wter inlet tempertures (see Tle 1): ϑ 1 = Cold wter inlet temperture ϑ 2 = Mixing wter temperture ϑ 3 = Output temperture. Instlltion instrutions for the qulified instller 2.1 Brief desription The eletronilly ontrolled instntneous wter heter is pressurised unit suitle for heting old wter or for further heting wter pre-heted up to 55 C. The mximum permissile inlet temperture is 65 C. At higher tempertures the unit my e dmged. With the speil fitting Centrl thermostt (see 7. Speil fittings ) the mx. inlet temperture n e limited to 60 C. One or more tps n e supplied with the unit. The re-wire heting system is enlosed with pressurised opper ldding. The heting system is suitle for low-lime nd lime-ontining wter (see 5.2 Ares of use ). Appline with output options For the DEL 18/21/24 SLi instntneous wter heter, the output is djustle in three stges. In its delivered ondition the ppline is set to 21 kw. If the ppline is instlled with different output, tke the following steps: Replug oding rd on the ppline PCB ove the informtion lel, ording to the output seleted. For rted urrent nd fuse, see Speifition. Mrk the seleted output on the type plte with permnent mrker. 2.2 Importnt informtion Air trpped in the old wter supply! n dmge the re wire heting system inside the equipment, or trip the sfety system (see 1.4 Importnt informtion ).The DEL is equipped with n ir detetor whih, to gret extent, prevents dmge to the heting system: If, during opertion, ir is drwn into the DEL, the equipment shuts down the power for few seonds, therey proteting the heting system. Thermostti pressure vlves (see note 1.8 Reommended djustment ). All informtion in these operting nd instlltion instrutions must e followed refully. They ontin importnt detils regrding sfety, opertion, instlltion nd mintenne of the equipment. 2.3 Instrutions nd regultions The instlltion (wter nd eletril work) nd ommissioning, s well s the mintenne of this equipment, must only e rried out y qulified ontrtor in ordne with these instrutions. If the wter is oming from wter-network the lowest vlue of the wter resistne must e onsidered, (see 5.2 re of pplition ). The speifi eletril resistne of the wter is generlly known y the wter provider. Instll the equipment only in n enlosed, frost-free room. Store dismntled equipment in frost-free onditions, sine there is lwys little wter left inside the equipment. Relese the fixing srews. d Remove the equipment p. Remove the k wll se E : Press down oth snp-in ts. Remove the k wll se y pulling forwrds. Remove the fixing toggle F (15). 3.4 Seuring the mounting rket F Mrk out the fixing holes for the mounting rket using the instlltion templte supplied. Seure the mounting rket with 2 srews nd rwl plugs (not supplied; seletion sujet to the mteril of the relevnt wll). 20 3.5 Trimming the power le to size Trim the power le to size in ordne with H. Note: Cp () should e used s n id for instlling the power le. 3.6 Equipment instlltion F Route the power le through the le grommet (6) nd press the k wll over the threded studs of the mounting rket. Fit the equipment, seure the fixing toggle (15). 3.7 Wter onnetion G Importnt instrutions: Thoroughly flush old wter supply! line! The filter supplied (22) must lwys e fitted with the flow rte limiter (23, DMB) or the form dis (24) (prts in the g on the CW onnetion nd in the ompnying pk) in the CW srew onnetion. Generlly the DMB - 12 l/min (rown) is to e instlled. 3.10 Initil strt-up (only y qulified ontrtor) 1 Fill nd vent the equipment. Plese note: risk of running dry! Open nd lose ll onneted drw-off vlves severl times, until the ir hs een purged from the pipework nd the equipment, see 2.2 Importnt informtion. 2 Ativte the sfety pressure limiter. The DEL SLi eletroni LCD is supplied with the sfety pressure limiter (AE 3) in tripped stte (press the reset utton). 3 Push set vlue trnsduer le plug onto the PCB. 4 Fit the equipment p nd seure with the srew. 5 Swith on the mins power. 6 Chek the instntneous wter heter funtion. 7 Remove the protetive film from the user interfe. Equipment hndover Explin the equipment funtion to the user nd fmilirise the user with its opertion. Importnt informtion: Mke the user wre of possile dngers (slding). Hnd over these instrutions to the user for sfekeeping. Exeption: DMB - 7.5 l/min (lue) for use with thermostti fitting. Form dis for low wter pipe pressure. Upon replement instlltion the presene of the filter must e heked. Never use the three-wy shut-off vlve (5) to redue the flow rte. 3.8 Eletril onnetion Connet the eletril supply le to the terminl strip (see Wiring digrm I ). Importnt informtion: The protetion level IP 25 (hoseproof) n only e ensured with! orretly fitted le grommet A (6) nd sel on the le ush. Connet the equipment to erth. 3.9 Completing the instlltion 1. Use suitle grommet in the k wll. When repling DHF, turn the mounting rket () 180 (logo DHF turned towrds the reder) nd move the threded stud () to the upper r.h. orner. When repling third prty equipment, use suitle holes for rwl plugs () to seure the mounting rket supplied. 4.2 Eletril onnetion finished wlls Cut or mke n opening for the power le in the k wll nd equipment p (see K for possile lotions for openings. The protetion level hnges to IP 24 (splsh-proof) for eletril onnetion on finished wlls. Attention: The equipment type plte must e mrked s follows in llpoint pen: Cross through IP 25 nd put ross in the ox IP 24. 4.3 Eletril onnetion from ove L Cut hole for the power le in the le grommet. Push the terminl strip upwrds from elow, for this press in the snp-in t () nd isolte the terminl strip. Attention: Instll flexile wires under the le guide (). Snp the terminl strip into ple t the top (). 4.4 Rotted equipment p The equipment p n e rotted for under-worktop instlltion M : Press in the snp-in t to remove the user interfe () from the equipment p. Rotte the equipment p () (not the equipment). Insert the user interfe nd lok ll snp-in ts into ple. Attention: Do not instll user interfe with dmged snp-in ts. Push set vlue trnsduer le plug onto the PCB (see 3 3.10 Initil strt-up ). Hng the equipment p () t the ottom nd swing up into position on the k wll. Push the p forwrds nd kwrds to ensure orret seting of the surrounding k-wll gsket. Srew down the equipment p. 4.5 Instlltion of le grommet The equipment my e instlled with retrofitted le grommet N. Press out the le grommet using srewdriver (). Seure the equipment on the mounting rket. When using 10 or 16 mm² power le, enlrge the hole in the le grommet. Push the le grommet over the power le (, instlltion id), fit to the k wll () nd snp in ple (d). 4.6 Priority ontrol O When used in onjuntion with other eletril equipment, e.g. eletri storge heters, use the lod iruit reker: Lod iruit reker (see 7. Speil essories ). Control le to the onttor of the other equipment (e.g. eletri storge heter), Control ontt opens when swithing the DEL... SLi on. The lod reker trips s soon s the DEL... SLi strts. Only onnet the lod iruit reker to the entre phse of the equipment terminls (mins power). 4.7 Compression fittings finished wlls Stieel Eltron pressure vlve (finished wlls) WKMD or WBMD P (prt no. see 7. Speil essories ) Fit the wter plug G ½ with gskets () (prt of the stndrd delivery of Stieel Eltron pressure vlves for finished wlls). Two wter plugs (speil essory set) (see 7. Speil essories ) re required for third prty pressure vlves. Fit the vlves. Push the k-wll se elow the vlve onnetion pipes nd snp it into the k-wll top. Srew the onnetion pipes to the equipment. Prepre the equipment p for this instlltion R : Brek out the ush knok-outs () in the equipment p lenly, if neessry use file. Knok out the lips from the p guides supplied (). If the vlve onnetion pipes re slightly offset, the p guides () n e used without knoking out the lips. In this se, the k-wll guides () re not used). Snp the p guides into the ush knokouts in the equipment p. Fit the k-wll guides supplied () onto the pipes (press top nd se onto pipe nd push together). Push k-wll guides () onto k wll of the equipment until it stops. Seuring equipment When onneted to flexile wter pipe systems, the k wll must e seured t the ottom y mens of n dditionl srew (d). Hng the equipment p () t the top nd swing down onto the k wll. The wes of the p guides must grip into the k-wll guides nd lok into them. 4.8 Soldered fitting finished wlls Using the speil essory Q (), prt no. see 7. Speil essories, it is possile to provide srew onnetion with the ustomer s 12 mm opper pipes. Instll prts of the speil essory. Solder the insert to the opper pipes. Push the k-wll se underneth the vlve onnetion pipes nd snp into the top of the k wll. Srew the onnetion pipes to the equipment. Attention: Note the informtion in 4.7 Compression fittings finished wlls : Equipment p, equipment k wll nd equipment fixing must e prepred for this instlltion method. Equipment fixing. Cp instlltion. 4.9 Instlltion of k-wll se With onnetion fittings for finished wlls, the k-wll se n lso e fitted fter the vlves hve een fitted S : Cut the k-wll se (3) s shown in the digrm (). Insert the links ( from the extr item ordered) from the k into the entre prt. Guide the entre prt underneth the pipes, push up nd fit with the k-wll se. Fit the k-wll se to the k wll. The k-wll se must e seured with n dditionl srew (). Fit the vlve onnetion pipes to the equipment fittings. 4.10 Offset instlltion for tiled surfes When the equipment is fitted onto tiled surfe ( B mx. 20 mm), the toggle ( F 15) initilly djusts the wll lerne nd then seures the equipment. 21 english

SLi eletroni LCD permits further heting of the inlet wter up to mx. 60 C (50 C y DEL...A). With inlet tempertures ove 55 C! the wter is not heted. A mximum inlet temperture of 60 C is ensured y the instlltion of entrl thermostt fitting (see 7.
