EMERGENCIES Dial 9-1-1 in an emergency requiring a police, fire or medical response. This can be done from your personal device. State the emergency, your name, the location at which assistance is needed, and remain on the line in case additional information is required. Please DO NOT call the emergency number for problems not requiring a police, fire or medical response. All other problems should be reported to SMU Athletics Hospitality staff. Emergency or Weather Evacuation Upon arriving in the premium area, please identify the nearest emergency exit, and point it out to your guests. Your cooperation and assistance are major factors in our security and emergency/weather procedures. In the unlikely event of an emergency or severe weather condition, please follow these procedures: - Remain calm at all times. - Listen to and follow all instructions that will be provided to you promptly over the public address system (PA) and/or by a staff member. - Assist each other and exit in a controlled and calm manner as instructed. All persons are required to evacuate any facility where a fire alarm is activated as promptly as possible via the nearest available exit. If an evacuation is occurring, immediately escort your guests in a calm and orderly manner to the nearest exit. Please be certain all members of your party are accounted for. Fire The premium seating areas have automatic fire detection and alarm systems, and are equipped with automatic sprinklers. Should a fire occur, immediately: - Dial 9-1-1 and report the fire - Evacuate the area and proceed to the exit; remaining in the corridor outside the club area will delay emergency responders. There are fire extinguishers located throughout each club. For small fires, if it is safe for you to do so, attempt to extinguish the fire. DO NOT place yourself or your guests in jeopardy. If you have reservations, simply leave and activate the alarm. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FIGHT A LARGE FIRE YOURSELF. Medical Emergency medical services are provided on-site during home games. Licensed practitioners are on duty throughout the game at the Moody Coliseum First Aid Center located between Moody Coliseum and Crum Basketball Center. Additionally, paramedics and stretcher teams are on duty throughout the coliseum and can quickly respond to the all premium areas. Should a medical emergency occur, immediately: - Dial 9-1-1 and report the situation. - Tell the call taker the gender and age of the patient and whether he/she is conscious, alert and breathing without difficulty. It is our policy that a guest involved with an emergency or illness always meets with our first aid team to ensure proper reporting and the continued safety for all of our SMU family
