Cheer Rules and Guidelines A coaches meeting will not be held the day of the event. All teams are subject to the NMAA Contract Between School for Athletic Contests All participants must adhere to all NMAA eligibility requirements. Liability Release forms are due the day of the event. Each form must be an original, for each participant competing. Only 2 coaches may enter with a team. Additional coaches are subject to spectator fee. All school teams are required to follow the National Federation and AACCA Safety Guidelines. Game Day and Cheer with Music will follow the NMAA Performance Criteria o Elementary and Jr. High divisions should follow NMAA Cheer with Music performance criteria. http://www.nmact.org/file/cheer_guidelines.pdf Performances will be conducted on the basketball court. An official Cheerleading Mat (54 ft. wide x 42 ft. deep) will be in place on center court for Cheer performances. All performances must stay within the perimeters of the mat. Failure to do so may result in a deduction by the technical judge. Stretching, tumbling, and routine warm-up area along with music system will be provided. 1 st, 2 nd, and 3 rd place trophies will be awarded in all divisions. Spectator entry fee will be $6.00. Children 4 and younger are free. Doors will open at 9am for teams and spectators. Performance order will be available the week of the competition. Score sheets will be provided at the conclusion of the event. Registrations are due February 24, 2017.

THIS CONTRACT, subscribed to by the Principals and/or Superintendents of Capital High School and of School, is made for one Cheerleading contest to be played as follows: One contest at Capital High School on March 11, 2017 starting at 10:00AM. All contests are to be played under the following stipulations: The School agrees to pay Capital High School the sum of $100.00 and the latter school agrees that this sum shall cover all its claims arising by virtue of this contract. 1. The rules of the New Mexico Activities Association are a part of this contract. 2. The suspension or termination of its membership in the State Association by either of the parties to this contract shall render this contract null and void. 3. All officials used for NMAA contests must be registered with the New Mexico Officials Association. 4. Unless otherwise specified, this contract shall be for a varsity contest. 5. This contract cannot be changed or nullified without the consent of both parties. 6. If either party hereto fails to fulfill the obligation of any part of the contract. That party shall pay to the other party the sum of $100.00 as forfeit; the remainder of the contract shall not be binding and the breach of contract shall be reported to the Association.
