Namibia 2015/2016 Hunters Namibia Safaris offers the ideal hunting destination for first-time African hunters, experienced well-traveled hunters as well as non-hunting observers and family groups. Once you have experienced the genuine warmth of the Lamprechts uniquely Namibian hospitality, as well as the excellent hunting, you are sure to want to return to this African paradise. The vast majority of Hunters Namibia guests are returning clients. The hunting area is privately owned and covers an area of over 50 000 acres (approximately 80 square miles) of pristine wilderness area populated only by free ranging game. Adjoining properties add another 40 square miles to our hunting area. 23 species of huntable game as well as an impressive variety of game birds (depending on the season) are available for trophy hunters and wing shooting enthusiasts. Many additional species can be viewed and photographed. A minimum of 500 head of game will be seen per day while hunting. One of our qualified and experienced Namibian Professional Hunters will accompany you on your hunt at all times, and may do so with a maximum of two hunting clients per P.H. at a time. The Hunters Namibia Safaris Main Lodge can accommodate a maximum of 10 guests, while our Lake Lodge a maximum of 4 guests. No more than 30 hunting clients are accepted per season. Your booking will reserve you and your party the exclusive use of the facilities with no other groups in camp. While hunting, classic, open Toyota Land Cruiser vehicles are used, but all stalking is done on foot. All vehicles are in excellent running condition and completely equipped with First Aid kits, tools, two way radios, refreshments and electric winches. The Namibian trophy-hunting season runs from the 1st of February to the 30th of November annually. Hunters Namibia Safaris trophy quality is consistently outstanding due to our exclusivity and limited number of hunting clients hosted annually. Our records show that 92% of trophies taken over the past 30 years qualify for the top half of the SCI Record Book. On average, hunting clients take one trophy per day, but no limit is placed on the number of species that you may take during a specific safari period. Short safaris are not recommended as much of the pleasure of hunting, as well as appreciation of the environment, is lost during a high-pressure safari. A minimum period of 7 full hunting days is required, however, 10 days is recommended. Cheetah and Sable hunts necessitate a 14-day safari. LODGES

The Hunters Namibia Safaris Lodges are run in the classic, elegant style of traditional safari camps. The lodges are spacious buildings of natural stone with thatched roofs, designed by Joof Lamprecht to blend in with the surrounding rocky kopjes and vast savannahs. Both lodges offer guest suites with en-suite bathrooms with basins, flushing toilets and large showers with high pressured hot and cold running water. The beds are solid wood with thick, firm mattresses, down duvets and pillows. Bedside tables, reading lamps, a luggage rack, rifle cabinet, large wardrobe, comfortable chairs, a desk, ceiling fan and balcony furniture complete the elegant, distinctly safari style rooms. Hair dryers, gowns and a range of toiletries are supplied. Two of the loft suites at the Main Lodge feature stone fireplaces, and one offers an interleading children s room. At the Main Lodge sun decks with hammocks and deck chairs, the swimming pool and summerhouse were specially designed to make the safari more enjoyable for non-hunters and children. Water holes have been strategically placed near both lodges to allow game viewing and photography from your suite and sun decks. An excellent daily laundry service, with same day return that really works, is provided. The hunting day usually starts just before sunrise with a choice of beverages served in your suite by a friendly camp attendant, followed by a hearty breakfast. Hunters Namibia offers world-class local cuisine inspired by Marina, and expertly prepared by our Gourmet Chefs and the small, dedicated kitchen teams. Venison from the hunt is always served accompanied by a wide variety of organically grown salads, vegetables and herbs from the gardens. Bread, biscuits and treats are baked daily in the old fashioned wood-burning oven. Non-venison as well as vegetarian and vegan meals are prepared, with pleasure, on request. Guests return to camp during the heat of midday for a buffet-style lunch, which is served at the swimming pool, or a deck overlooking the lake. A short siesta is followed by coffee at 15h00 before returning to the wild open veld. Picnic lunches are arranged on request. Sundowners are served in the evening around the open campfire. This is historically the time of day when the best memories of wilderness experiences, as well as hunting and fishing tales, are exchanged in the romantic glow of the Acacia wood flames. A traditional drumbeat announces dinner, which is always a candle-lit three-course gourmet feast. Top quality South African wines, international spirit brands, world-class Namibian beer as well as a variety of soft drinks and pure fruit juices are available in camp. Clients are encouraged to notify the Hunters Namibia Safaris team of any specific wishes, which will gladly be catered for. The lodges have permanent 220-volt electricity. All room are equipped with USA adapters. Although we strongly recommend that you relax and unwind during your safari, high speed Wi-Fi, fax, cellular phone reception, telephone and satellite television are available for clients who may wish to make use of them. IMPORTANT GENERAL INFORMATION HOW TO GET TO NAMIBIA: Namibia s National Carrier, Air Namibia, has regular direct flights from Frankfurt to Windhoek International Airport, which is 45 minutes drive from the Hunters Namibia Safari Main Lodge. South African Airways, in partnership with Delta, offers a daily service from New York JFK and Atlanta to Johannesburg, South Africa. S.A.A. and Air Namibia offer daily (2 hour) flights from Johannesburg to Windhoek International. VISA AND PASSPORT REQUIREMENTS: Namibian law requires that your passport be valid for a period of at least 6 months from the date of your arrival in Namibia. Citizens of the United States of America as well as E.U. member countries (except Greece) do not require visas to visit Namibia. LANGUAGES: English is Namibia s official language. The Hunters Namibia Safaris team is also fluent in German and Dutch. Interpreters can be commissioned on request. CURRENCY: The Namibian dollar exchanges at exactly the same rate as the South African Rand (ZAR). Credit cards are accepted throughout Namibia. MEDICAL: Currently no special health requirements are prescribed for entry into Namibia. Malaria is not a threat in Hunters Namibia Safaris hunting area, but it is suggested that you refer to your personal physician for advice on prophylactics and insect repellents. A comprehensive range of international brand name medicine is stocked in camp and on the hunting vehicles, but it is advised that you bring along the types

of medication that you regularly take, or may require. A well-equipped, professionally run government clinic is situated 15 minutes from the lodge. Medical facilities, including excellent private hospitals and internationally trained medical practitioners, specialists and surgeons, are available in Windhoek, which is a one-hour drive from the camp. In case of extreme medical emergency an airlift service is available. Our PHs and hunting assistants are all qualified in First Aid. WATER: The water at Hunters Namibia Safari lodges is pumped from 300 feet deep boreholes into sealed water tanks, and then filtered before being pumped into the lodge. The quality, purity and taste of the water are excellent. RIFLES, AMMUNITION AND EQUIPMENT: We recommend a rifle in calibre.300 Magnum or slightly larger, fitted with a 6X40 scope, for plains game. This is, however, a personal matter and we suggest that you use whatever rifle (of adequate calibre) you are most familiar and comfortable with. We recommend the heaviest weight of ammo for your calibre in Nosler partition. If you are a keen wing-shooter, bring your favourite shotgun and approximately 50 shells in #7 s. The Namibian authorities do not place any restrictions on the temporary importation of hunting rifles. A maximum of 100 rounds per weapon may be imported. You will receive a form to fill out on your arrival and the permit will be issued at the airport. This form is also available on our website for your convenience. Should you prefer to travel without weapons, we have a fine selection of quality rifles and shotguns in camp for hire. Do not forget your camera, as well as ample SD cards, and batteries. A good pair of 8 X 40 binoculars is essential. PLEASE NOTE: No pistols, revolvers, automatic or semi-automatic weapons may be imported into Namibia. Please also note that ammunition may not be transported in your rifle case. As you may be in transit through other countries it is important to note that some laws require ammunition to be transported in a lockable metal container. This is not a requirement in Namibia. CLOTHING AND FOOTWEAR: We recommend dark green clothing in medium or heavy cotton. Please bring warm clothing if your safari falls in the period June to August. The remainder of the year you can hunt in shorts and short-sleeved shirts, but you will still require a warm jacket for early morning and evenings. Three sets of clothing will be sufficient for your safari. Rubber soled boots in a dark brown colour, which have been broken in before your arrival, are recommended. A pair of comfortable house shoes for the evenings will come in handy. A broad rimmed olive green safari hat is a must. Be sure to bring a bathing suit during the summer months. WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU: Now that you know more about Hunters Namibia Safaris, please allow us to tell you what we expect of you, our valued hunting client and partner in conservation. WE would like you to be in the best physical shape that your situation and condition will allow. If you need any specific medication, or have any special requirements, we expect you to inform us, so that we may plan accordingly in order to make your safari as successful and comfortable as possible. We also expect you to be able to shoot your rifle well, and to ensure that it is in perfect working order. There is no substitute for practice, so please do some shooting and exercise before you come on safari.

INTRODUCTION TO OUR BEAUTIFUL NAMIBIA: Namibia, the land of vast savannahs and shifting sands, is a peaceful and prosperous nation on the southwestern coast of Africa, ready to be explored, hunted and photographed by you and your family. We have an abundance of wildlife and some of the world s most dramatic vistas. Although famous for breath-taking arid landscapes, our country has vast savannahs teeming with wild game, wide rivers as well as deserts - a diversity of habitats, which will assure that you realize all of your African dreams. Namibia is the second least densely populated country in the world, with just over 2 million people inhabiting this vast space of 520,000 square miles. In 1990 we became an independent nation, and are Africa s most politically stable democracy. Our country has a very proud hunting and conservation heritage, which the Hunters Namibia Safaris team looks forward to sharing with you!
