Please Read and Sign: Club Galaxy Battle of the Puget Sound Bands Official Rules How to enter contest: 1. All band members must be 21 years of age or older. 2. All Band members must be present for each performance. 3. Band must be able to perform a one (1) hour set. 4. Any band that has previously performed in Club Galaxy between the dates of July 6th, 2016 to July 6th, 2017 will not be eligible to participate. 5. Cover songs are accepted to fill in the time slot. 6. No song or set repeats during performance. 7. Band Manager/Band Leader must turn in a promo package with band member bios, band photo (Hi-Res image), video (WMV), audio (MP3), and playlist by June 15th, 2017. 8. No consumption of alcohol or drugs before or during the event is allowed. 9. Performance times will be scheduled by Entertainment Committee. 10. 9 maximum bands to perform in Club Galaxy. 11. All bands must submit a promo package to the Entertainment Committee. a. The Entertainment Committee will consist of: i. Director of Marketing ii. Assistant Director of Marketing iii. Entertainment Manager iv. Entertainment Supervisor v. Beverage Supervisor vi. Advertising Manager 2. All bands must fill out an application form with all information filled out. 3. Bands will submit their name, photo, and video/audio information to the Entertainment Committee. Final Date of submission will be June 15th, 2017. 4. All submitted promo packages will become property of Muckleshoot Casino. 5. The Entertainment Committee will review and invite nine (9) eligible bands to perform at Club Galaxy on July 6th, July 13th, and July 20th.
How to win: First Round 1. The Battle of Puget Sound first rounds will take place on July 6th, July 13th, and July 20th, 2017. 2. Each band will be given a time slot to perform a forty five minute (45 min) set to be determined by the Entertainment Committee. 3. Every qualifying Thursday during July, three (3) bands will battle for crowd favorite. a. Bands will be judged based on ballot entries (Bands cannot vote). b. All guests entering Club Galaxy will be given one (1) ballot card. Once they have received their ballot card, they will be given a hand stamp. c. The ballot cards will be placed into a ballot box and gathered by a member of the Entertainment Committee at the end of each event. d. A member of the Entertainment Committee will tally the ballots at the end of the night and determine the winner e. The winning band will be announced after the last band performs. 4. Performance times will be: a. July 6th, 13th, and 20th, 2017 i. Band #1 8:00p ii. Band #2-9:00p iii. Band #3 10:00p 5. There will be three (3) bands per performance night, a total of nine (9) bands for the first rounds with one (1) winner from each performance night. 6. Winners from each preliminary round battle will move on to the Final Round. Final Round 1. The Final Round will take place on Friday July 28th, 2017. 2. The three (3) winners from the First Rounds will compete. 3. Each winning band will battle it out in two (2) forty five (45) minute time slots for a total of one (1) hour (30) minutes. 6. There will be total of three (3) bands for the Final Round with one (1) winning band coming from each qualifying First Round. Prize Table: First Place winner for the FINAL ROUND will receive: o $10,000 in Cash Second Place winner for the FINAL ROUND will receive: o $5,000 in Cash Third Place winner for the FINAL ROUND will receive: o $2,500 in Cash General Rules: 1. All Participants must show their Preferred Players Card and proper ID to be verified. 2. All games/rule inquiries will be handled by the Marketing Department. Their decision/ruling on any matters within the promotion will be deemed final. 3. The Muckleshoot Indian Tribe, any other sponsor, and their affiliated entities and their respective officers and employees shall be released and discharged from any and all claims, losses, injuries, demands, or actions which arise out of or are in any way related to the prize(s), the receipt, use, or enjoyment of the prize(s), or damages or losses related to the tournament. 4. The Tribe reserves the right to postpone, suspend, or terminate the tournament or amend the rules at any time without notice to Participants. 5. By entering or participating in the tournament, Participants grant the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe and its affiliated entities the right to use their names, likeness, or voice for promotional purposes without further compensation or permission. 6. Prizes may not be traded or transferred. Substitution of cash, or equivalent for noncash prizes, unless expressly stated in the contest rules are not permitted, provided that, in the event that the Tribe at its sole discretion reserves the right to substitute cash in the event that a noncash prize becomes unavailable. In accepting a prize, the winner accepts the prize as is with no warranties. 7. Winners will be required to present valid photo identification acceptable to the Tribe, social security number, and complete an IRS Form W-9 and a winner release form before a prize will be awarded. Failure to provide required identification and complete required IRS Form W-9 and a winner release may result in forfeiture of prize(s). 8. Participants acknowledge that prizes may be subject to tax withholding requirements under applicable federal regulations and that payouts may be reduced due to withholding requirements. Winners agree to pay all expenses, taxes and fees not included in the prize. The Tribe will report winnings in excess of $600 in cash or fair market value during a calendar year to the IRS and such winners will receive an IRS Form 1099. 9. For tournaments that require physical participation, selected participants who are physically unable to participate may designate a person other than an employee of Muckleshoot Casino or Bingo to participate on their behalf. 10. Participants are responsible for hearing tournament announcements and the Tribe shall not be responsible in any manner for the failure of a participant to hear or respond to tournament announcements. If the tournament involves a drawing, in case of public address system failure the drawing may continue and in such event the selected participant s name will be announced without amplification at the drawing location. 11. The Tribe is not responsible for lost or stolen entries or coupons, computer malfunctions or other incidents resulting in loss of entries. 12. The Tribe is not responsible for inability to enter a tournament or a drawing due to long lines or other causes.
13. Employees of Muckleshoot Casino and Bingo are not eligible to participate in tournaments or drawings. 14. Entries are not transferrable. 15. Violation of tournament rules may result in disqualification. 16. Any Participant dissatisfied with a decision/ruling in this promotion may, within thirty (30) days of the disputed decision/ruling, submit their complaint in the form of a written petition for relief to the Muckleshoot Gaming Commission.
