JCPRD Soccer Coaches: We are beginning to take registrations for the Spring 2015 Soccer Season and we invite you to coach again or become a 1 st time coach. All approved head coaches will have their child s fee waived by the league, however you are responsible for their $15 jersey fee (if needed). IMPORTANT! Paid coaches will not be allowed to coach in the league. The JCPRD Youth Soccer League only allows volunteer coaches to coach in the league. In this packet you ll find various important forms you or your team manager will need to complete and return to our office by our February 6 deadline for players in grades 1-8 and February 27 for Pee Wee ages 4 6 (Pre-K K). It s very important to submit these forms on time so we can get practice and game schedules completed, and jerseys ordered in a timely fashion. Players must register individually. Online registration is now available at www.jcprd.com. There is a small online convenience fee for registering online. Any coach registering their child online would have to pay the league fee and then get reimbursed later, so it might be easier just to register the old fashioned way and submit a paper form to us or you can scan and email the completed form to jamie.kempfe@jocogov.org. Individual registration forms can be found at www.jcprdsoccer.com. Parents will have the choice to register online or submit a registration. Be sure to have players from your team list your name as their preferred coach. We also ask that coaches with a full and even partial team submit a team roster so we know who you re expecting on your team. If you need more players, we usually can add players to your roster from individuals we get that have no team. Our goal is to receive all registrations by February 6 for grades 1-8 and February 27 for Pee Wee Ages 4-6 in order to make our scheduling and jersey order deadlines as well as getting player cards for new players in the 5 th 8th age group, in time for the start of games. THE FOLLOWING FORMS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO OUR OFFICE EACH SEASON: Individual Player Registration Form (online or submit paper form) Roster of Players who you plan on having play on your team Background Check Form and Volunteer Hold Harmless Form (New Coaches/Asst Coaches only) Team Information and Special Request Form Very important to turn this in each season Forms included for your viewing: Spring 2015 Age Group Guidelines League Information Form Player Registration Form Team Roster Team Information and Special Request Form Criminal Background Check and Volunteer Hold Harmless Forms (only complete if you are a new coach) Practice Guidelines Letter Game Rescheduling Procedures Weather Guidelines Rules (not included in packet, but can be found online at www.jcprdsoccer.com) IMPORTANT! Players currently registered with a competitive team in any organization are not allowed to roster on a recreational team. Therefore, no player registered/rostered on any competitive team will be permitted to compete on a JCPRD recreational team. A player can play on two recreational teams in different age groups, and will need to fill out registration forms for each team and submit with payment. We cannot guarantee that the games will not be played at the same time. Therefore, in case of a conflict, player will need to make a choice for which team they are playing with for that game. Coach s meeting is tentatively set for Saturday, March 7 at 10:00 am at Tomahawk Hills Golf Course s Elmridge Room. An email confirmation will be sent out closer to the date, confirming the date, time, and location. Important information will be distributed to you at this meeting. If all goes well, teams in the 1 st 8 th grade league will be able to pick up their jerseys. Pee Wee jerseys will be available for pick up at a later date. Attendance at this meeting is strongly encouraged. If the head coach is unavailable to attend, please try and make arrangements for an assistant coach to attend. If you are not planning on coaching in the spring, or if your team will be taken over by another coach, we ask that you notify Jamie Kempfe at jamie.kempfe@jocogov.org as we do receive questions from players regarding their teams and coaches. If you have any questions, please contact me. We look forward to seeing you in the spring. Jamie Kempfe NCF Coordinator/JCYS Coordinator 913-826-2853 jamie.kempfe@jocogov.org

Birth dates determine age brackets which are set by USSSA and KSYSA.

Dear JCPRD Coaches: Thanks for your volunteer time! If you plan on coaching a 1 st 8 th grade team this upcoming spring, begin thinking about your practice schedule and make your day/time/field request early! Teams who submit their practice request by the February 6 deadline can begin practicing at Stoll Park the week of March 9. SMSD fields may not be available until later in March. As always, I do my very best to accommodate your requests, but due to very limited field space it may be impossible to accommodate every request. Both new and returning coaches for grades 1-8 must submit their practice request to me by February 6, regardless of where they practiced in the fall. Because our league play takes place on Saturdays and Sundays we assign practice times on Monday - Friday only as follows: 5:00 6:00, 5:30 6:30, 6:00 7:00, 6:30 7:30, 7:00 8:00 (March hours may vary due to limited day light) As a rule we assign one 60-minute practice time per team per week. When requested we may add a second slot for teams grades 5-8 if possible, or extend the hour-long time slots, if possible. Our Stoll Park fields are assigned for practices as follows: Stoll Park Fields: Field A for 5 th and 6 th graders (Tuesday, Thursday & Friday only) Field B for 7 th and 8 th graders (Tuesday, Thursday & Friday only) Fields C and D for 3 rd and 4 th graders Field F for 1 st & 2nd graders Field E and G for 1 st Graders (if needed) SM School Fields Used in the Past (Field availability will be confirmed with SMSD in February) : Westridge (Grassy Area ) 9300 Nieman Rd Rosehill (Grassy Area) 9801 Rosehill Rd. Practice permits for Stoll Park and SMSD will be emailed to coaches in late February or early March, once the practice schedule has been established. When you receive your permit, please be sure you take/keep this permit with you at all practices. If there is another team on the field at your scheduled time ask to see their permit. If they have a permit for the same time and field, then someone in our office made an error and the field will have to be shared this one time and will be corrected for the remainder of the season. If the other team has no permit, then you should politely ask them to leave. If they refuse to leave, please call Park Patrol at 782-0720 for assistance at Stoll Park. Try to get the name and number of the Coach and notify our office. Many times, teams just walk onto a field that is vacant and we have no way of contacting them regarding this.
