Advanced registration is required for all SMP trips, events and volunteer opportunities. All program activities are open only to single Marines and Sailors stationed at Camp Pendleton. Recreation center activities are open to all active duty. Unless noted other wise, participants must use provided SMP transportation for trips and events. All participants who volunteer must register in advance with SMP HQ in order to receive a Letter of Appreciation. Participants will provide their own transportation to the volunteer opportunities unless otherwise stated. A signed command permission slip is required for all SMP activities. SMP Volunteer Opportunities Retirement Home Visits. Have dinner with the residents. Bravos are the requested uniform for these events. Max of 6-10 volunteers needed for each opportunity. Camp Pendleton Stables, bldg. 1516. Participants will help clean and groom horses, clean stalls, and help with general maintenance at the stables. Uniform of the day is civilian attire. Closed toed shoes are required. A maximum of 10 participants are needed for this opportunity. Participants must sign up prior to the event. 6/27-0800. CDC Olympics. Volunteers will host a two hour fitness challenge at an on base child development center. All counters must meet at Semper Fit HQ at 0800. Please eat breakfast before you arrive. Sign ups began on May 10th. 6/18-1000. SMP Beach Day. Free event, pre-registration is required to plan for food. A day of play at Camp Pendleton Del Mar Beach. Free use of Kayaks, Stand up Paddle Boards and Surfboards. Lunch provided. Group meets at the Kids Cove at 1000. Bring your swim suits, towels and sunscreen.

MCCS Activities 6/3-0700 - CG's Cup Mud Run Team Challenge. This is a free event open to Active Duty personnel stationed aboard MCB CamPen and any other MCI-West Installation. Personnel must wear boots and utes and be registered in a team of 5. Finisher medals will be awarded to all participants and the top three teams will also receive an award.
