Friday, 9th June, 2017 St Bernadette s Roman Catholic Primary School Live the Gospel and when necessary use words Election Special Bernadette s Blog All week, classes across the school have been debating and holding elections in class. There have been new parties formed and policies written. On Thursday, our Year 5/6 Class studied the manifesto of each of the real political parties and chose who they would vote for. It was a landslide victory for the Labour party. A result which was repeated in other classes and was probably closer than we thought to today s results! Democracy is an important part of our study of British Values.
Election Fever hits St. Bernadette s!
Year 4 Family Liturgy On Wednesday morning Year 4 celebrated the first of our Family Liturgies. The children read and sang beautifully and created a very, very prayerful atmosphere. It was a lovely way to start a busy day. It was great to see so many parents and grandparents in attendance. Thank you for coming along and giving your support. The theme of the service was Community-so it was especially fitting to see you all there. Each class will be holding their own Family Liturgy in the coming weeks. Please check the website to see when your class is coming up. Don t forget Key Stage One parents are invited to our very special royal garden party at 2.30pm this afternoon. Fingers crossed the sun shines.
