River Spirit Golf Club, nestled on the edge of the Rocky Mountains, is one of Calgary s finest golf facilities. River Spirit is quickly becoming known by its patrons as having the best and truest greens in the city. We have assembled a team of customer service driven individuals with a wealth of knowledge, dedicated to creating a first class customer experience for our members and their guests. Conveniently located off Highway 8, west of Calgary, our semi-private golf club offers 27 holes of championship golf and is situated along the beautiful Elbow River. Spectacular panoramic views of the Canadian Rockies provide a breathtaking backdrop to many of the 27 holes. The natural wetlands, mature trees, and the winding Millburn Creek offer boundaries, definition, texture and charm to all three nines. Whether playing the Millburn, the Spirit, or the Cattails nine, River Spirit offers a choice of four sets of tees to ensure an enjoyable round for every caliber of golfer. A 325-yard driving range complete with grass tees, five target greens, bunkers, and two practice putting greens will to help minimize the unwanted strokes on the golf course. A variety of lesson programs are available with one of our CPGA professionals on staff. River Spirit s 70 seat Restaurant / Lounge and 40 Seat Patio are popular options for all golfers, whether you want a full breakfast or want to escape the city for an evening out with your family. Enjoy a pleasant scenic drive to experience our fine cuisine, diverse menu and large selection of local and imported wines. For catering to larger functions we host tournaments in our Marquee facility which can accommodate up to 260 guests for dinner. Our fully stocked Pro shop, located upstairs in the clubhouse, offers top of the line golf equipment. Ping, Callaway and Adidas are a few of the companies that we stock. We are able to order in products even if we don t stock a certain brand we will do our best to special order it for you. We also offer corporate merchandise for purchase as many companies look for gifts and prizes, as well logoed apparel for staff or clients. 3 P a g e
The Course Millburn The natural wetlands, mature trees, and the winding Millburn Creek offer boundaries, definition, texture and charm to both the Spirit and Millburn nines. Architect Russ Olson has captured the essence of the River Spirit Golf Course in designing the second nine holes. The signature hole # 3 Millburn provides all golfers with a majestic view of the valley below and a not so subtle hint of things to come. The most difficult of the three nines, this course challenges golfers as they navigate their way over meandering creeks and tranquil ponds. The ever-present wildlife abounds throughout the course creating a pleasant distraction for golfers wanting to be one with nature. Spirit The opening of River Spirit Golf Club's first nine holes began with the Spirit Nine in 2004. Architect Russ Olson has successfully blended the creeks and mature trees of the Elbow Valley below, with the prairie landscape above. This is a golf course of outstanding merit offering the low handicap a challenge from the black tees at 3564 yards at the same time allowing the higher handicap a more forgiving walk in the park from the white tees at 3072 yards. The snowcapped Rocky Mountains can be viewed on six of the nine holes on this course. Trees that have been planted, act as a frame or backdrop to the golf holes and not as a strategic element. The Spirit Nine was named for the sacred ancient burial grounds located within the property, adding to the mystique and character of this popular nine. Cattails On a gently rolling canvas dotted with thick stands of Willow trees, and handsome pockets of grassy wetlands, architect Russ Olson has painted a glorious picture. Strategic bunkering and classic shot making options further define the scene with the picturesque Rocky Mountains providing a breathtaking backdrop. From the back tees, Cattails stretches 3,631 yards, providing the low handicap golfer with a rigorous test of golf. However, Olson created the golf course with four sets of tees, giving players of all abilities a chance at par. While the slope and course ratings tell a story that Cattails will not be conquered easily, the course is eminently fair. The fairway movement is gentle and subtle, with very little mounding. The lakes and wetland areas are natural looking with very few abutments or hard edges. There are natural hillocks integrated into the golf holes that are covered with fescue grasses. Regardless of how you score, however, rest assured that Cattails tranquil beauty, artfully sculpted bunkers, Kentucky bluegrass fairways and Bent Grass greens will yield a golf experience that will linger long in memory. 4 P a g e

Types of Membership Principal Members o Has unlimited golfing privileges o Can book up to 10 days in advance o Complimentary use of practice facilities o Can add a spouse and children to membership o No minimum required in Pro Shop or restaurant o Can bring guests and receive the guest rate o Complimentary pull carts o All members receive a charge account as long as they maintain member in good standing status o Access to amenities as they become available o Access to all member functions and events Corporate Members o Each Corporate Member consists of one principal and up to four designates o Annually by January 30th each Corporate Membership must pay for the annual dues for the principal member. o Each corporate designate then pays one quarter of the principal dues to be activated and plays on passes. o Each designate(s) buys 50 Rounds at the guest rate for that season. These rounds can also be used for guests (guests must be playing with the member) and maybe split among all designates for that season. o There are no restrictions to the number of times a guest may play with the member. o After the initial 50 rounds are used, designates may purchase further passes in books of 20. o Tee time booking privileges allow corporate members to book 10 days in advance. o Membership privileges include but are not limited to: o complimentary range balls o Pull carts. o charging privileges in the Pro Shop and restaurant and on course o There are no monthly minimums on food and beverage purchases 7 P a g e
Playing Privileges and booking policies Playing Privileges The Head Professional may at any time deny playing privileges to any individual when, in their opinion, it is in the best interest of the Club to do so. All golfers must register with the Pro Shop before commencing play. Adult Members (Principals, Associates & Unrestricted Intermediates) Members may reserve a starting time through the Pro Shop or online up to 10 days in advance Group Bookings It is expected that some Members may wish to book more than one starting time. In such cases, it may not be possible to have a Member in every foursome; however the Member will assume responsibility for all charges and conduct of his or her guests. Juniors Members Can play any time Monday thru Thursday and after 2pm Friday thru Sunday Guests of Members A Member may entertain up to three guests at a time and must accompany these guests by playing with them for the entire round. Unaccompanied Guests will be charged full public rates Members are responsible for the dress, conduct, and charges of their guests. (See Code of Conduct and Dress Code) Guest Privileges Pace of Play The enjoyment of the game is taken away when there is slow play. At River Spirit the rated pace for 18 holes for a foursome is 4 hours 15 minutes. It is the responsibility of all Members and guests to meet this standard Members that are in good standing will be entitled to have guests use the Club facilities in compliance with the Club rules related to guests and on payment of applicable fees and charges. Guests must be accompanied by a member and the guests use of the Club facilities may be restricted at the discretion of the 8 P a g e
Rules and Regulations Dress Code All players are required to wear suitable attire at all times on the course and in the clubhouse. Dress is a personal matter and as contemporary golfing attire changes from time to time, any questions regarding the acceptability of any particular apparel can be reviewed with the professional staff. Proper golf attire is mandatory and those offending the dress code will be asked to change into suitable attire or could be asked to leave the premises. Prohibited dress for all male players includes but is not limited to: Sleeveless shirts, no shirts, fishnet shirts, shirts with garish or vulgar slogans, sweat pants, denim pants (includes all colors), cut-offs, gym shorts or any shorts having an in-seem less than 6 inches. All golf shirts or mock neck shirts must have a collar. Prohibited dress for all female players includes but is not limited to: Halter tops, fishnet tops, shirts with garish or vulgar slogans, sweat pants, denim pants (includes all colors), cut-offs, gym shorts or any shorts having an in-seem less than 6 inches. All golf shirts without a collar must have sleeves. All sleeveless shirts must have a collar. General Code of Conduct Management and/or the Member Society Board reserves the right to suspend privileges of any member whose conduct negatively affects the enjoyment of fellow members and/or daily fee golfers. This includes in the clubhouse, on the golf course, driving golf carts, and dealing with any staff member. A member who uses foul language, breaking any of the prescribed rules, or acting in a manner encroaching upon the rights of others, may be asked to leave and/or may have their membership privilege suspended. Please inform the Golf Shop or course marshal/starter immediately if any golfers are abusing the golf course rules or regulations. Under no circumstances shall any member abuse any employee verbally or otherwise. Course Conditioning Course conditioning of River Spirit is one of the key components of Member, guest and Public satisfaction. It is the responsibility of every player to repair ball marks and replace divots. The maintenance crew and those who golf after you, ask you to leave the course in the same or better condition than when you started your round. Any complaints about employees or the operation of the club must be made in writing to Cole Bygrove, General Manager or Jay Anderson, Head Professional. Member Charging Agreement In order to have charging privileges and/or to receive a membership card for booking privileges, this form must be filled out and sent back to the administration office before March 1st 2012. 1. A Member can charge to their account as long as they present their membership card at the time of charging. If they cannot show their membership card, valid identification must be shown. The membership privilege is non-transferable. 2. Members accounts will be invoiced on the 1st of the month. Payment is due by the 26th of the month. A late fee of 2% will be charged on all payments received after the due date. 3. It is mandatory that we have a credit card number on file for all members. 4. In the event that the account is 30+ days past due the account balance will be charged to the credit card on file. 5. End of Season: ALL ACCOUNTS MUST BE PAID IN FULL BY NOVEMBER 1, 2012 - No exceptions. Credit cards will be charged with any outstanding balance after that date. 6. 2012 Application for Membership A person wishing to purchase a Membership in the Club shall deliver a fully completed and signed Membership Application to the Club. The Club will then determine whether the applicant has satisfied the enrollment conditions. The Club shall have the final decision for acceptance or rejection of an applicant for membership in the Club. If the Club determines that the applicant has satisfied those conditions, the Club will notify the applicant that the application has been accepted. Payment for the Membership must be received within seven days of the application being accepted. The undersigned applies to River Spirit Golf Club (the Club ) for a Membership Share ( Membership ) 1.
