Ski Club Information Students in grades 3-6 may participate in this program. This program meets every Wednesday beginning January 10, 2018. It runs for six weeks (1/10, 1/17, 1/24, 1/31, 2/7, 2/14) at Willard Mountain in Greenwich, New York. We leave school around 3:20pm and return to the elementary school at 8:00pm. Parents have the option of picking their child up at Willard as long as you sign them out on the attendance list and arrive before 7:30pm. Since we are unable to leave after the 2:20 dismissal, students not staying after for a classroom teacher or other after school activity will be supervised in my classroom until we leave. Students may spend their time working on homework and changing into warmer clothing. At 3 :05 attendance and announcements are completed before we load the buses. Program Cost Before 11/25 After 11/25 Lift and Lesson $130 Lift and Lesson $15 0 Lift/Lesson/Rental $165 Lift/Lesson/Rental $185 Lesson Information Lessons for ALL PARTICIPANTS take place from 4:30 to 6:00pm. On the first night, participants are placed in lesson groups according to their ability. A ski school representative will be outside at the ski school meeting place organizing participants into lesson groups. Beginners will be starting on the beginner slopes using a magic carpet or rope tow. Lesson groups 4-8 ride the chair lift and ski/snowboard on easy and intermediate trails beginning the first week. After lessons, participants usually come into the lodge for dinner. Once lessons are over the members are allowed to free ski/snowboard until 7: l 5pm. Beginners will continue to practice on the beginner slopes, while members in groups 4-8 ski/snowboard with a friend and use the chair lift. Chaperones are out supervising the trails throughout the night. At 7: 15 chaperones are at the lifts and on the trails making sure members riding the bus go into the lodge. We do not leave Willard until attendance is taken on the buses and everyone is accounted for.

Dinner Food is available at the lodge's cafeteria. Members may bring their own food, money for food, or purchase the Willard Mountain Meal Plan ( cost $48). This meal plan includes an entree, beverage, and dessert each week. A chaperone passes out the meal tickets to each member when they are ready for dinner. Please check the meal plan section of the registration form and add the cost to your program fee if you wish to purchase a meal ticket for your child. Equipment Members who will be renting equipment from Willard will need to visit Willard before our first trip on January 10 th to be fitted for their rental equipment and have their photo taken for their program pass. Helmets are available for rent at a cost of $30. However, ski club members may purchase a helmet at Willard for that price in the ski shop as well. Members who own their own equipment must also go to Willard to have their photo taken for their program pass. All equipment must be brought to school and placed in the small bus in the Business Office parking lot before 2:00pm each Wednesday. Contact Information If you have any questions please call or email Mrs. Jamie Schiller at 518-753-4491 ext 5102 or jschiller@hoosicvalley.kl2.ny.us Registration Packet Please return this slip if your child is interested in joining ski club. A registration packet will be given to your child then. Do not send in payment with this slip. My child needs the registration packet. Grade: Teacher: --------- --------------- Guardian's signature:
