8/31/17 Our Book Fair will be arriving soon. Shopping dates are Sept. 5-15 th. Teachers make your wish lists! Help support the OMS Library and Technology by purchasing a Smart Card(s). Cards will be on sale for $20. Please see Mrs. McGill or Mrs. Reed in the library to purchase. School is closed Monday for Labor Day! Any female student at OMS interested in trying out for girls basketball may attend open gym and conditioning during the month of September. Conditioning times next week will be Tuesday, September 5 th, 3:15-4:15 and Thursday, September 7 th, 6:15am-7:15am (before school). Please make sure you have an updated physical and dress in gym clothes and tennis shoes or basketball shoes. All conditioning times for the month of September are available on the OMS girls basketball website. The volleyball team won their match against Blackman Wednesday, 3 match to none. Tennis has a match against Stewarts Creek Tuesday at 5:30 Also Tuesday, Football has their first home game Against Smyrna at 6:00! Come out and support your chargers. Such as tickets to a Glow Party and money grabs. Be sure to vote for your grade level homecoming nominees. Boxes are located in the grade level hallways and the cafeteria. The girl s soccer team has a game tonight at the high school that starts at 6pm against Central Magnet. Come cheer on our lady chargers. 8/18/17 Any 8th grade student that should have band on their schedule that does not needs to see Mr. Hearnes and Mr. Kinney ASAP. The 8th grade band is open to those students that have played in band previously. If you have any questions see the band directors. The 1st BETA meeting of the school year will be held Wednesday, August 23 from 3:15-4:00 in the auditorium. All students who are interested, 6th through 8th graders, and returning members MUST attend. Our fundraiser has 3 more days so start selling and sending out emails so you can win prizes and money. Swim tryouts are August 22 nd for boys and August 23 rd for girls at 5:15 at the OHS pool. You ll need a swimsuit (one-piece for the ladies), goggles, a towel, a water bottle, and an up-to-date physical. It s Cloudy with a high of 92 and low of 72 8/14/17 Any 8th grade student that should have band on their schedule that does not needs to see Mr. Hearnes and Mr. Kinney ASAP.
