FREE Rules and Guidelines All school teams are required to follow the National Federation and AACCA Safety Guidelines Each team participating may compete in up to two categories Routines are a maximum of 2 minutes & 30 seconds for performance and 1 minute 15 30 seconds for game day. Please have one coach/representative at the music table Cheer teams will compete on a 42x54 cheer mat (9 strips) Stretching, tumbling, and routine warm-up area along with music system will be provided Judges for the Demon Throwdown Cheer and Dance competition will be impartial, qualified, and experienced individuals from New Mexico with a knowledge of and background in cheer and dance. Trophies will be awarded in Cheer and Pom Division Routine. There will be two Grand Champion banners awarded, one for cheer and one for dance. Spectator entry fee will be $5.00 adults, and $5.00 for grades K-12. No season passes will be honored. Doors for spectators open at 8:30 am. Performance order will be available Wednesday before competition (January 28th, 2015)
Participant Release and Waiver Form Name of Participant: School/Team Name: Liability Release: I, as parent or legal guardian of, a minor (participant), hereby grant the permission necessary to allow participation in the Demon Throwdown Cheer and Dance Competition. I, on my own behalf of the participant, further agree to release and hold harmless the Santa Fe Public School District, Santa Fe High School and any of their staff from any and all liability arising out of or connected with the Demon Throwdown Cheer and Dance competition. This includes any claim arising out of or connected with any illness or injury (minimal, serious, catastrophic and/or death) that participant may incur or sustain during the competition or any activity associated with the event. The terms hereof shall serve as a release and assumption of all risk for my heirs, estate executor administrator, assignees and for all members of my family. Assuming Risk: I, on my own behalf and on behalf of participant, acknowledge and agree that such participation subjects the participant to the possibility of physical illness or injury (minimal, serious, catastrophic, and/or death) and that I acknowledge that the participant is assuming the risk of such illness or injury by participation in the Demon Throwdown Cheer and Dance Jam, I recognize the importance of following the instructions regarding and performing based on the AACCA and USASF rules/guidelines set forth. I, on my own behalf and on behalf of participant, hereby warrant that I have read this Participant Release and Waiver Form in its entirety and fully understand its content.
