WOODSIDE PONY CLUB CLASSIC COMBINED TEST Sunday, September 10, 2017 The Horse Park at Woodside, 3674 Sand Hill Road, Woodside, CA (1/2 mile west of Hwy 280) DIVISIONS: Classes will be run starting with Crossrails and moving through Training level. A Division includes one Dressage Test and one Stadium round. Prizes will be awarded according to the lowest combined penalty score in the two tests. Additional Information THE RULES: ASTM-RATED HARD HATS MUST BE WORN BY ALL COMPETITORS - STALLIONS MAY NOT BE SHOWN BY JUNIORS ALL DOGS MUST BE LEASHED NO OPEN FIRES, SMOKING OR BBQ AT HORSE PARK USEF Eventing rules apply, with the exception that dressage tests may be read aloud. Medical armbands must be worn for all jumping rounds. These may be acquired in the show office. Familiarization: Horses may be WALKED in the jumping arena once the course has been set and if no work is taking place, from 5pm Saturday until 9am Sunday. Lunging: may be done in Four Winds Annex until 7:30 am Sunday, and all day in the designated area near Sand Hill Road. Please enter classes that are appropriate for the rider s and horse s levels of experience. Classes with sufficient entries will be split Junior/Senior and two sets of awards will be given. You may enter any combination of classes, including a second ride in any given class. Your FIRST ride in a class will be the one counted toward the division award. We understand that running two arenas simultaneously presents the potential for class conflicts. We would appreciate it if the riders who share horses would keep this in mind when planning their class schedules. Stabling: Please request stabling directly from the Horse Park Office, 650-851- 2140. All stabling and XC schooling fees shall be paid directly to the Horse Park, not the Show Office. Cross Country Schooling: Horses may school XC on Saturday after paying the 60 day use fee to the Horse Park office. Competitor horses may school XC Sunday by paying an additional fee of 30 to the Horse Park office. These horses must wear their show number, and MUST be accompanied by a trainer. Non- competition horses may school XC after paying the regular 60 day fee. A signed release form for The Horse Park at Woodside and a facilities fee of 30 is required to compete in this show. A separate USPC release is required of all non-uspc members. Entries Close: 9/1/2017 Entries must be received by the closing date and will be accepted in the order received. Once the show is full, entries will be put on a waiting list. Competitors will receive starting times by 9/8/2016. Classes cannot be changed once times are set. REFUNDS AFTER THE CLOSING DATE WILL ONLY BE GIVEN UPON PRESENTATION OF A VETERINARIAN OR DOCTOR CERTIFICATE. NO REFUNDS AFTER THE SHOW BEGINS. Scratches before the closing date will be refunded less an office fee of 20. I have read and agree to abide by the Horse Park Facility Use Rules. I am aware that combined training and eventing, jumping, trail riding, conditioning, polo and all other forms of equestrian activities, including the teaching, training or coaching thereof can be hazardous. I am voluntarily participating in equestrian or other activities with the knowledge of the danger involved and herby agree to accept any and all risks of injury or death. In consideration for being permitted to use the facilities at the Horse Park at Woodside, I hereby agree that I, my heirs, my distributees, guardians, legal representatives and assignees will not make a claim against, sue, attach the property of, or prosecute the Horse Park at Woodside, its landlord, directors, officers, members, employees or assignees, for any claim I now have or may hereafter have for death, injury or property damage resulting from my use of the facilities at the Horse Park at Woodside, whether caused by my acts of omission or negligence or anyone else s. In addition, it is understood that any and all insurance that I have shall be primary. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I shall defend, indemnify & hold harmless the Horse Park at Woodside, its landlord, directors, officers, agents and employees for and against any and all claims, damages, losses, expenses and liabilities of every kind, including but not limited to attorney s fees, in any way arising out of or in connection with my activities under this Agreement. This indemnify shall apply regardless of any active and/or passive negligent act or omission of the Horse Park at Woodside, its landlord, directors, officers, agents and employees. I have carefully read this agreement and release and fully understand its contents. I am aware that this is a Release of Liability, a waiver of legal rights and contracts between me and The Horse Park at Woodside. I sign this agreement and liability at my own free will. I further acknowledge that there are no warranties either express of implied, concerning the facilities, events or activities at The Horse Park at Woodside. I AGREE for myself, and/or my child, my/our administrators and assigns, in consideration for my, and/or my child s, participation in this United States Pony Clubs, Inc. (USPC) activity to the following: I AGREE that I choose to participate voluntarily in an USPC activity, as a rider, driver, handler, lessee, owner, agent, spectator, volunteer, and/or trainer. I am fully aware and acknowledge that horse sports and USPC activities involve inherent dangerous risks of accident, loss, and serious bodily injury including, but not limited to, broken bones, head injuries, trauma, pain, suffering or death ( Harm ). I fully understand that this release covers, but is not limited to, inherent risks of an equine activity which mean a danger or condition that is an integral part of an equine activity, including but not limited to, any of the following:! The propensity of an equine to behave in ways that may result in injury, death, or loss to persons on or around the equine;! The unpredictability of an equine s reaction to sounds, sudden movement, unfamiliar objects, persons, or other animals;! Hazards, including, but not limited to, surface or subsurface conditions;! A collision with another equine, another animal, a person, or an object;! The potential of an equine activity participant to act in a negligent manner that may contribute to injury, death, or loss to the person of the participant or to other persons, including but not limited to, failing to maintain control over an equine or failing to act within the ability of the participant. I AGREE to release the USPC, its successors or assigns, officials, officers, directors, employees, agents, personnel, volunteers and affiliated organizations from all claims including, but not limited to, claims for money or property, disability, covenants, actions, suits, causes or action, obligations, debts, costs, expenses, attorneys fees, judgments, orders and liabilities of whatsoever kind or nature in law, equity or otherwise, whether now known or unknown, suspected or unsuspected, and whether concealed or hidden, including but not limited to any state or federal statutory or common law claim or remedy of any kind whatsoever arising out of or in any way connected with any Harm to me or my horse and for any Harm caused by me or my horse to others, even if the Harm resulted, directly or indirectly, from the negligence of the USPC or the USPC activity. I AGREE to expressly assume all risks of Harm to me or my horse, including Harm resulting from the negligence of the USPC or the USPC activity, and specifically agree to the applicable state statute/law regarding equine/farm animal activity liability and signed posting (if any), in any state in which I or my child participates in a USPC activity. A true copy for all state statutes in effect at the time of the execution of this agreement is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as if set out fully in the text of this document. I AGREE to indemnify (that is, to pay any losses, damages, or costs incurred by) the USPC and the USPC activity and to hold them harmless with respect to claims for Harm to me or my horse, and for claims made by others for any Harm caused by me or my horse in the USPC activity. USPC shall promptly notify you in writing of any claim or action brought against USPC or any of its local clubs or affiliated organization in respect of which indemnity may be sought against you, setting forth the particulars of such claim or action and you will assume the defense thereof, including the employment of counsel satisfactory to USPC and the payment of all expenses. I AGREE that neither I, nor any one claiming through me, will hereafter bring, commence, prosecute or maintain, or cause or permit to be brought, commenced, prosecuted or maintained, any suit or action, either at law or in equity, in any court in the United States or in any state thereof, or elsewhere, against the USPC, its successors or assigns, for, on account of, arising out of, or in any way connected with any Harm to me or my horse, and that neither I, nor any one claiming though me, will enforce, prosecute, or recover upon, or attempt to enforce, prosecute, or recover upon, any claim or right of action whatsoever, which I, or any one claiming though me, may now have or hereafter assert, in any way connected with claims for Harm to me or my horse, and for claims made by others for any Harms caused by me or my horse at the USPC activity. I AGREE this Agreement is the entire agreement of the parties, and supersedes all prior oral and written understandings and agreements. This Agreement may be modified only by a written amendment signed by both parties. I AGREE that if any provision of the Agreement is found to be invalid or illegal by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall be construed as if the affected provision had not been included in order to effectuate the intent of the parties. In the event this form is signed by the parent/guardian of a child, then all representations and acknowledgements herein are expressly made by, for, and on behalf of the parent/guardian and child. By signing below, I AGREE to be bound by all applicable USPC rules and all terms and provisions of the USPC activity. I acknowledge that I enter into this release after having read the same, and place my signature hereto of my own free voluntary act and deed. By signing below, I represent to the USPC that I fully understand its contents, that I do not need any further explanation, and I waive any further explanation.
