page 2 of 5 Health Hazard Information Health effects : Ingestion : Eye : Skin : Inhalation If ingested in excessive quantities it may cuase irritation to the gastro-intestinal tract Fibres / dust may cause irritation & abrasion to the eye Handling of the product may result in itchiness & possibly a resultant rash or abrasion of the skin. Any resultant rash is not allergic and should not be long lasting. Free dust & fibres resulting from handling, if inhaled, may cause irritation of the respiratory system. First Aid Swallowed : Eye : Skin : Inhaled : Rinse lips & mouth with copious amounts of water Flush with flowing water for 10 to 15 minutes ensuring water is free to flow under eyelids. Do not rub eyes. Wash thoroughly with warm soapy water and apply skin cream. to any inflamed or abraided area. Remove to fresh air

Precautions for use Exposure limits : page 3 of 5 0.5 fbres/ml as designated by Worksafe Australia (refer National Code Of Practice For The Safe Use Of Synthetic Mineral Fibres) Engineering controls : Work practices should be designed to ensure the least possible handling of & disturbance to the material. Experience has shown that the material is best worked using hand tools. If power tools are used they must be fitted with HEPA filtration systems. Work areas must be regularly cleaned of off-cuts and loose fibres. All off-cuts should be sealed in plastic disposal bags and disposed of in accordance with local regulation. When required under local regulation work areas must be clearly defined by use of barriers and signs indicating that synthetic mineral fibre products are being installed Ventilation Disposal of waste : In dusty or in confined spaces extraction units fitted with HEPA filters should be used. In open well ventilated areas no additional controls should be required All off-cuts should be regularly collected and placed in plastic bags or other sealable containers. Waste must be disposed of in accordance with local or state regulations

Personnel Protection : page 4 of 5 Skin Protection Eye Protection All operatives should wear loose fitting clothing including long sleeved shirts and long trousers, or coveralls. Industrial grade gloves and a hat should also be used. Clothing should be regularly cleaned separate from other clothing Operatives should use close fitting, ventilated, non-fogging goggles particularly when installing material in an overhead position Respiratory protection A class P1 or P2 respirator is to be used in enclosed & or poorly ventilated locations or in situations where work methods may result in fibre levels in excess of 0.5 fibres / ml. Personal Hygiene : Operatives must wash exposed areas with warm soapy water at the end of each work period. Special precautions to be observed when removing material that has been exposed to operational temperatures in excess of approx 950C In addition to the precautions noted above the following precautions must be observed when removing heat affected / embrittled material clothing : operatives should use disposable overalls when removing embrittled cal-sil-mag fibre. Overalls should be disposed of at the end of each work period and new clothing issued for subsequent work periods. Respiratory protection normally a class P2 respirator should be sufficient, however where medium to high levels of dust are likely to be generated class P3 cartridge respirator or battery powered respirator should be used. In extremely dusty operations a full faced positive pressure airline respirator may be required.

page 5 of 5 All respirators must comply with AS/NZS1715 / 1716 and meet the requirements of the Worksafe Code (as noted earlier) for the work being undertaken Flammability : Cal-sil-mag fibre products are non-flammable. Plastic or cardboard packaging is flammable Handling & transportation : The materials should be transported and stored in the factory supplied packaging. Material should be stored in a weatherproof area to prevent damage to the product or it's packaging Importer : This product is imported from The People's Republic of China by : FM Insulation Supplies 6/10 Bromley Road Emu Plains NSW 2750 phone 02 4735 5699 fax : 02 4735 5799 e-mail : mike.flavell@gmail.com www.fminsulation.com.au Manufacturer : The product is supplied/manufactured by : Sitek Enterpise of Shenzen PRC MSDS updated 8-9-2008
