Participated in the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the ongoing seaweed farming activity in the south coast Kenya funded by ReCoMap. I was lead scientist in fisheries issues and co-investigated the marine ecology aspects. Participated in 14 days experimental trawling research under special license coordinated by State Department of Fisheries onboard FV Amboseli beam trawler off the Malindi-Ungwana Bay, Kenya.
