Tournament Changes for 2013 Dear Members, We are making some minor changes to some of the tournaments this year. This is just a quick overview and if you have any concerns or want more information, please contact Jerry Tierney (email: golftierney@aol.com). President's Cup: We will be allowing participants to schedule/play their first match prior to the defined start day of Saturday. If you want to just have your match on that Saturday, you will just show up and play your match as in the past. If you schedule the match prior to that start Saturday, the tournament director must be notified to consolidate the Saturday morning tee times. If the match cannot be scheduled prior to that, then whoever shows up for their starting time is considered the winner unless you have contacted and worked a solution with the tournament director. New Club Championship: The overall winner is the same as today. The divisions will be larger than the previous 8 players and there will be gross and net winners in each division. Senior Championship: We are having 3 days to schedule the 2 days that you want to play. Also we are allowing you to play in the morning or afternoon. Lastly, if you have a group of members that you want to play with you, then you can all schedule to play as a group. This will allow us to get more entries than we have been getting. If we end up with enough entries, then we will be divide the people by age into two different divisions. There will be net and gross overall winners and also gross and net winners per division. Field Days: In the past we have had major differences in the number of players per division. Last year we had one month where there were as few as 5 entries in one division and another division had 15. We will be taking the whole field and then depending on the number of entries, we will divide them into 1, 2, 3, or 4 divisions. These divisions will be as close as possible to having the same number of entries (all players on the line with the same handicap will be put into the same division). The within the flag and long drive will have the same pre set divisions as previous years. Thanks and if you have any ideas or questions please contact me and we will see what we can do Fee Changes for 2014 Dues: $70 ($65 if paid before Kickoff Breakfast) up from $60 Kickoff Breakfast: $10 up from $6 Steak Nights: $20 up from $10 Senior Tournament: $20 up from $15 Field Days: $20 up from $10 These fee changes were necessary since WSGA dues have increased and our Tournament payouts have increased. The board is attempting to keep our budget balanced.
