My favorite restaurant is actually a restaurant on Hilton Head Island, in South Carolina called Pomodori and my favorite food is pizza. 11. What do you teach at Colerain High School? This year I am teaching Psychology/Sociology and also Honors US History. I teach in the blended setting all day and have over 230 students this year! I absolutely love it and have my dream teaching schedule this school year. 12. What do you love about education? Education, specifically Social Studies education, has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember! I love history and I love making learning enjoyable for my students. I have grown a strong passion for challenging my students and myself with integrating technology into their learning. I truly believe 21 st century learning better prepares them for life beyond high school, whether that s trade schools, post-secondary opportunities, or the workforce. 13. What is it about these seniors that mean so much to you? I cannot say enough great things about my seniors this year. They are the epitome of what it means to be a Colerain cheerleader and they make me so proud. Every practice and every event or game they are just so enjoyable to be around! I had most of them as Freshmen 4 years ago, which was also my first year coaching for CHS so they are all like daughters to me! I have literally seen them grow up right before my eyes over the last four years and they are just truly all amazing people. They challenge me and it is so humbling to be their coach. I love them all so much and I cannot imagine this program without them but I am looking forward to seeing them enjoy this last year, make memories and new traditions, leave a legacy by exercising their leadership and making ALL OF US better, and then move on to their bright futures. They all have the potential to accomplish so much because they have amazing families and are all wonderfully, genuine people. 14. What is the one piece of advice you would give to any new student or athlete to our community? Get involved. Be proud to be a Cardinal and enjoy it while it lasts! 15. What are you looking forward to the most this season? I am looking forward to spending a great year with the seniors and seeing my underclassmen on varsity grow and progress with the help of our amazing, new coaching staff! Assistant Coaches Thank you both for joining us this year. We are so happy to have you both and the girls and parents are going to be so lucky to have you as coaches. You inspire me to be a great coach and teacher every day. You are great at both and oh yea you are the head coach of TWO successful programs Coach Curtis Thank you for your dedication and support of our program. You are making us all so much stronger and healthier and we appreciate your passion for ANYTHING and EVERYTHING Colerain! Teachers and Administration THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU DO. You are the reason why Colerain High School and our Athletics are so successful and you make our campus safe and an enjoyable place to work. Last but not least, my husband and family. Every event my husband comes to, even though he s a Lancer, to show his support for the girls and myself is much appreciated. Every time I have to miss dinner, our Sunday days together, or birthdays and other events because I am somewhere for cheer, you all always understand and are appreciative of my dedication and passion for what I do. Tony, you are the best cheer husband out there and I am looking forward to my sister s family coming in town this year for Elementary night and bringing my nieces to the game so we can get them down on the field to experience high school football Cardinal style!
