A nonmember may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $45 Show Pass fee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) leadline; 2) exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed Reining Competitions. 8) Opportunity classes, 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own National Federation, 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes. MOTOR VEHICLE STATEMENT Minors who do not have a valid driver s license which allow them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles, on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicle as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver s license. The parent(s), legal guardian(s), or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), an/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in the accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from the rule. 2

RULES AND REGULATIONS: 1. Pre-entries will be accepted until 12:00 noon two days before each show. 2. Entries received after 12 noon two days before the show will be charged a $50 post-entry fee. The fee will be charged once per owner. An additional $25 fee will be incurred for riders showing in a class in which they are not entered. $50 Scratch Fee. 3. A $35.00 EMT and $55.00 Office Fee will be charged to all entries at each show. Standard USEF fees will apply. Nomination and Class Fees are indicated with class descriptions. 4. If there are fewer than 12 entries in a class offering $5000 or more in Prize Money, the class will be held as a sweepstakes with entry fees combined to make the purse. I there are fewer than 8 entries in a class offering $2500 or less in prize money, the class will be held as a sweepstakes with entry fees combined to make the purse. Money will be paid as follows: 1st - 30%, 2nd - 22%, 3rd - 18%, 4th 12%, 5th 10%, 6th 8% Exception: M&S Children s and Adult Classics will pay full prize money with 3 or more entries. 5. Prize money will be applied to show account. If additional prize money needs to be issued, it will be mailed within 30 days. In order for Prize Money to be awarded, Prize Money Payee information MUST be provided including name, address and social security or tax id number. It is the sole responsibility of the exhibitor to provide this information on the entry blank. Incomplete or missing information will result in prize money not being issued. Any Prize Money check is non-negotiable after 60 days and will be considered null and void and stop payment will be issued by the horse show s bank. A completed W-9 needs to be on file with show management. 6. Any open invoices will be closed by office staff at the end of the show with the method of payment holding the entry. It is the exhibitors responsibility to review their bill and resolve any discrepancies within one hour of the show ending. If disputes are not negotiated within this time frame the bill stands without further review. All entries not paid at the horse show will incur a $100.00 late payment fee. A charge of $50 will be imposed on all returned checks. Any and all costs incurred to collect unpaid funds are the responsibility of the obligated party. 7. No exhibitor numbers will be issued without payment being secured. Open check or credit card number must be included. 8. Credit cards may be used for payment of entries. A 4% convenience fee will be added to the entry total if this option is exercised. 9. All riders must wear proper attire and protective headgear at all times while mounted. 10. All shows are presented by The Ridge Grand Prix Tour Group, LLC. The Ridge Farm, its employees, representatives, host property owners, Nona Garson, George D Ambrosio, or any member of the show committee will not be held responsible for any accident, loss, theft or damage at the show. It shall be the condition of every exhibitor to hold the same blameless or harmless for any accident or loss. 11. The committee reserves the right to cancel, combine, or substitute classes at their discretion. The show reserves the right to vary the officials if necessary, classes may move to a different ring at management s discretion. 12. Schooling will be permitted only in areas provided by the committee and back numbers must be issued and worn. 13. A jump order will be established at the in gate with the starter. 14. All pets must be kept on a leash at all times. 15. The show committee reserves the right to refuse any entry and return any fees paid prior to the start of the show without any financial obligation or liability. The committee further has the authority to remove anyone or any horse from the show grounds. 16. Sharps containers will be located at the secretary stand. 17. Every class offered herein which is covered by the rules and specifications of the current USEF Rulebook, NAL, Marshall & Sterling League, or WIHS as applicable will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith. 18. Stalls, if available, will be 10 by 10 temporary stalls with doors. $350 per week, or $100 per day. Stabling fees are subject to Florida sales tax. Bedding available 8:00am to 5:00pm please order at show office. I AGREE in consideration for my participation in this Competition [insert name] to the following: I AGREE that the Federation and Competition as used herein includes the Licensee and Competition Management, as well as all of their officials, officers, directors, employees, agents, personnel, volunteers and Federation affiliates. I AGREE that I choose to participate voluntarily in the Competition with my horse, as a rider, driver, handler, vaulter, longeur, lessee, owner, agent, coach, trainer, or as parent or guardian of a junior exhibitor. I am fully aware and acknowledge that horse sports and the Competition involve inherent dangerous risks of accident, loss, and serious bodily injury including broken bones, head injuries, trauma, pain, suffering, or death. ( Harm ). I AGREE to hold harmless and release the Federation and the Competition from all claims for money damages or otherwise for any Harm to me or my horse and for any Harm of any nature caused by me or my horse to others, even if the Harm arises or results resulted, directly or indirectly, from the negligence of the Federation or the Competition. I AGREE to expressly assume all risks of Harm to me or my horse, including Harm resulting from the negligence of the Federation or the Competition. I AGREE to indemnify (that is, to pay any losses, damages, or costs incurred by) the Federation and the Competition and to hold them harmless with respect to claims for Harm to me or my horse, and for claims made by others for any Harm caused by me or my horse while at the Competition. I have read the Federation Rules about protective equipment, including GR801 and if applicable, EV114, and I understand that I am entitled to wear protective equipment without penalty, and I acknowledge that the Federation strongly encourages me to do so while WARNING that no protective equipment can guard against all injuries. If I am a parent or guardian of a junior exhibitor, I consent to the child s participation and AGREE to all of the above provisions and AGREE to assume all of the obligations of this Release on the child s behalf. I represent that I have the requisite training, coaching and abilities to safely compete in this competition. I AGREE that if I am injured at this competition, the medical personnel treating my injuries may provide information on my injury and treatment to the Federation on the official USEF accident/injury report form.
