Conditions of Entry: This event is programmed for two nights. Entry to Stadium: The driver of the tow vehicle plus one other will be admitted free with one race car. This is for drivers and staff in vehicles only Rain Out: In the event of a rainout the Promoter reserves the right to hold the event on the next most opportune day and time. The rain date scheduled for Friday January 5 th is Saturday January 6 th. Rain date for Saturday 6 th is Sunday January 7 th starting at 5pm. Format: The promoter reserves the right to change the format. Rules: The event will be run according to the Speedway New Zealand rule book. Technical Inspections: Please pay attention to rules E2-3-1 to E2-3-5. As per SNZ Rule S5, no vehicles shall exceed 95 dba. Contract: In the event that you have forwarded an entry form and you discover that you cannot attend, you must notify the Promoter in advance of your inability to honour this contract. Lap Scoring: This championship will have Dorian Electronic Lap scoring in place. It is compulsory for all cars to arrive at scrutineering with a transmitter in place and fully working. Uniforms / Pit crew / Children All drivers and pit crews must be in either approved Team Uniforms or clean overalls. Drivers will sign crew in to get their arm bands each night. Friday January 5 th 2018 Scrutineering: At AmPro Tools Woodford Glen Speedway. Scrutineering will commence at 2pm. All cars will be completed by 4.15pm Drivers Briefing for Practice: Drivers briefing will be held in the club rooms at 4.30pm (there will be a further drivers briefing for the championship at 5.45pm) This is for drivers only and you must be in attendance Official Practice: 4.45pm 5.15pm Drivers Briefing: At 5.45pm This is for drivers only and you must be in attendance Racing: Starts 7pm Race Format Qualifying (Dependant on number of entries) Drivers will be split in to four (4) groups. Sixteen (16) drivers will qualify from tonight s racing to compete in the finals of the 2018 Burger King (Total number of finalists sought is twenty (20) Each group will race three (3) heats each. Grid positions for the first heat races will be marble draw whilst grid positions for all remaining heats will be determined as per the championship format from the official Speedway New Zealand rule book Once all heat races have been completed the top four (4) highest points scorers from each group will transfer to the finals heats to be raced on Saturday January 6 th 2018. In the event of tied points for any of the final qualifying positions, a 4 lap run off will be raced to determine the last qualifying spot (or spots) Points will be awarded from 12 points for 1 st place, 11 for 2 nd place and so on down Repechages: All non-qualifiers will have one last chance to make the finals of the Burger King New Zealand Saloon Championship via two (2) separate Repechage races. These will be raced on Saturday night January 6 th. Complete Tyre & Auto Cup: Drivers who do not qualify to the finals will have the chance to compete in the Complete Tyre & Auto Cup on Saturday night (full details on next page) Please Note: You may be required to carry our sponsor logo on your car when competing at this Championship

Number of laps will depend on number of entrants The first two drivers to cross the finish line from each Repechage race will transfer to the finals of the Burger King bringing the total number of finalists to twenty (20) Drivers placed from third (3 rd ) to twelfth (12 th ) from each Repechage race will transfer to compete in the 20 car Complete Tyre & Auto Cup (format below). Race format Burger King Finalists will race two (2) heats of 15 laps each to determine grid positions for the winner takes all final Grid positions for heat 1 will be marble draw with heat two grids the reverse of heat 1 The highest scoring driver after the two heats have been raced will have the choice of grid position off the front row of the winner takes all final. The second placed driver will start the final from the left over grid, third placed driver from grid 3 and so on down to grid 20 Winner takes all final will be raced over 25 laps. The first driver to cross the finish line will be crowned the 2018 Burger King New Zealand Saloon Champion Race format Complete Tyre & Auto Cup Finalists will race two (2) heats to determine grid positions for winner takes all final Grid positions for heat 1 will be marble draw with heat two grids the reverse of heat 1 The highest scoring driver after the two heats have been raced will have the choice of grid position off the front row of the winner takes all final.
