Pikes Peak Chapter - Association of the United States Army Oct 3rd and 4th, 2015 Turkey Shoot Participation & Registration Information (NO LIVE TURKEYS WILL BE SHOT - ONLY TARGETS) How to Get to the Cheyenne Mountain Shooting Complex (CMSC), Completing the Registration Process, and Shooting Procedures This non-profit fundraiser event will be held at the Cheyenne Mountain Shooting Complex (CMSC), Exit 132 off I-25. As going west toward Fort Carson Gate 20, turn left just before Gate 20. You will see a brown and white sign indicating where to turn. Proceed about.6 of a mile to the CMSC (it is off post). The range opens at 8:30 am each day for shooting starting at 9:00 am. Shooting will be continuous throughout the day until 3:30 pm Saturday and 11:30 am Sunday. Shooters will join a shooting line for their desired Competitive Shooting Category until the line is full, and then they will be directed to move to the firing line and follow the Range Safety Officer s instructions from there. Each person planning to attend the event, whether as a shooter or spectator (except children under 6 years old) is kindly asked to pre-register at the following link: http://www.springsturkeyshoot.org/ Pre-registering does not commit you to anything; but it will enable us to provide proper levels of support for this event. As a thank you for pre-registering, if you attend the event and complete the registration on site, we will cross-reference your name as submitted in pre-registration, and your name will be entered into a special prize drawing. Only pre-registrants will be eligible to win this valuable prize. Daily admission fee for all shooters and spectators regardless of gender, age (children under 6 are free) or shooting category is $15 per attendee/per day. Payment can be in cash or by credit card on site. As you arrive at the complex, Event Staff Volunteers will guide you to the parking and registration area where you will complete the registration process and pay your range fee. You will have a couple forms to fill out and sign, and then you will be able to take your firearms and/or bows to the Shooter Assembly Area for assignment to a shooting line. This procedure goes on all day long, so it is not necessary to be there at any specific time. Take your time, relax and enjoy the fun of being on the range! However, all Team shooters need to be there together before the team can shoot.

Registration includes range fees and first shot (1 shotgun cartridge, 2 arrows, or 3.22 cal bullets) for Open Category turkey/ham competitions for all shooters. Payment will be verified by wearing a plastic wrist band provided by the Event Staff. Want to improve your chances of winning a turkey or ham? For a $5 donation per each additional shot (1 shotgun cartridge, 2 arrows, or 3.22 cal bullets), shooters can compete in as many lines as they wish (no personal ammunition) in their category. Free Lunches - while sponsor supplies last - for all registered shooters and spectators for their sign-up day will be provided Saturday at 12 noon and Sunday at the awards presentations and prize drawing ceremony, also at 12 noon. Included with this admission fee on the day registered: Any other range facilities (apart from the Turkey Shoot) also can be utilized with personal firearms. A great bargain! IMPORTANT: Shooters must wear hearing and eye protection to move up to the firing line. Bring your own; only limited quantities will be available for sale at the range. Sunglasses and prescription lenses are OK for eye protection. Shotgun Range: SHOOTING VENUES Bring your Personal Conforming Shotgun and Rifle Firearms; Limited Loaner Event Firearms will be Available 8-10 shooters per line.
