REP FOLDER Welcome to FNA representative netball You have been selected in a team to represent Forbes at State Age Championships. Teams train twice a week and attend regional carnivals for match practice at the discretion of the coach. This enables optimal development of your own netball skills and that of the team as a whole. Coaches and Managers have applied for representative positions and have been selected by the FNA executive committee. Coaches are to provide encouragement, develop a tone of mutual support within the team and develop each player s skills, understanding of the game and sportsmanship. Managers are responsible for the team in general, handing out and collecting notes and money, liaising with the girls, parents, coach and coordinator, and of course looking after the team at carnivals and State Age Championships. The primary care person is the only person allowed on court in the event of an injury. They decide if the player is fit to continue or needs to come off the court for treatment. Coaches, assistant coaches and managers are prohibited from this position. The same primary care giver must remain for the duration of a game yet can be shared amongst parents for the season. Parents are needed to support the girls and assist the coach and manager. We also recognise that you are role models for the girls and ask that you keep this in mind, displaying fairness and courtesy to all.
