1st International Goalball Tournament CIUTAT DE BARCELONA For us it is going to be the second year of the International Goalball Tournament celebration in Barcelona. Last year we inaugurated the event as organizers with great success. For this reason, Barcelona City Council renews its bet and grant us in an official way the recognition as a Ciutat de Barcelona tournament. This is the reason why it appears as the first tournament, although it is actually the second one. We hope that the participating teams of the last year will come back to our tournament and that even more people join us. Our commitment is to organize a high level event for the satisfaction of the participating teams. GENERAL INFORMATION The tournament will take place on November 16 th, 17 th and 18 th in Barcelona. Dates: Arrival: November 15 th, after 17:00. Competition: Friday afternoon 16 th, Saturday 17 th and Sunday 18 th of November. Departure: November 18 th, not before 18:00. There will be a coaches meeting on Thursday at 8:30 pm to inform about the details of the competition. There will be an attendance office for participants to solve any question you may have. Meals: The breakfasts of the participants in the ONIX Hotel will be held in the same hotel and the rest at the ONCE bar. Lunch and dinner will be all made at the ONCE bar (within the sport installation). Lunch timetable: 7:00 to 10:00 Breakfasts 12:00 to 15:15 Lunch 19:30 to 20:30 Dinners There will be a physiotherapy service throughout the championship.
PARTICIPANTS Teams required: - 4 male internacionals teams or Nacional Goalball Teams. - 4 female internacionals teams or Nacional Goalball Teams. Competition control: - Referee: Eduard Martínez, Laura Estellers, Xavier Juàrez. Three places for foreign referees. - Court: 6 table judges. 2 spickers 1 track manager 4 goal judges per match Organization: - David Huguet, Omar Font, Consol Calvo, Adrià Agustina, Núria Daró. Assistants - 2 Assistants PLACE OF COMPETITION Teams will compete for the championship in the sports facilities of the Spanish National Organisation of the blind (ONCE Catalunya) located close to Plaça de España. 1 Sepúlveda Street 08015 Barcelona How to get: - There is direct connexion by bus, underground and train. - Barcelona-El Prat Airport is located just 20 min from the sports and accommodation facilities. - The tournament organization offers a round trip service from Barcelona-El Prat Airport or any train station. - Those teams that move in a private vehicle will have a parking space at their disposal within the ONCE building during the tournament. The entrance to the locker rooms will be allowed on 16th November at 8:30 h. 2. The tournament organization will assign locker rooms to each team. You can check the facilities plan. 3. You will need 1 coin to use each locker. You are not allowed to let anything outside the lockers. 4. Check-in and toss coin: coach and team representative must be present at the correct place 15 min before the game. Failure to comply will result in a team penalty. You can check the facilities plan. 5. After that, team will go to the sports pavilion. 6. Access to the play area will take place between 5 and 10 minutes before the scheduled time, provided there are no delays. The ticket will be made according to the instructions of the track manager 7. Access to the track will be done with music and by the presentation of each one of the participants. 8. The players will be allowed a 5 min warm up on court before the game. 9. Patches must be worn by all players 3 min before the game. Failure to comply will result in a team penalty. Tournament organization will provide patches. 10. Correct way to adjust patches in detail: 11. At the end of the game, the exit will be done as soon as possible. 12. During the matches, the teams that are not playing the game must be sitting in the sports grandstand.
PLAN OF PRIZES The price of the registration at the I International Goalball Tournament CIUTAT DE BARCELONA is 1.600,00 per team with a maximum of 8 participants. Each extra participant from 8 will cost 300 The price includes: - 3 nights of accommodation at the ÒNIX Fira Barcelona Hotel. - Meals: Or Dinner on Thursday, November 15. O Breakfast, lunch and dinner on Friday, the 16th and Saturday and the 17th of November.
