General Rules 1. The regatta will be held on the Vienna regatta course Neue Donau/Stein- Spornbrücke in accordance with the RoR of FISA supplemented by the RoR of the Austrian Rowing Federation. The regatta course offers 6 lanes and is equipped with albano and traffic light starting systems. 2. Starting for 2000m races takes place from fixed starting points at a starting pontoon. All other races will be launched by flying starts. 3. There will be a time interval of 5 minutes between each race. The time schedule will be arranged in a way as to enable M&W Jun 14- races in all categories. 4. The winners will be awarded medals. In case of a minimum of 4 crews racing, ranks 1, 2, and 3 will be awarded medals in gold, silver and bronze. 5. Junior rowers must be able to swim and have to be insured adequately. All Austrian Juniors including Juniors 14- shall be only entitled to start when holding a valid junior licence. The Junior Licences of the rowers entered for participation must be available to the Secretariat of the Austrian Rowing Federation at the time of the Closing of Entries at the latest. If no licence was presented at the time of the Closing of Entries for a particular rower the latter will lose his or her right to start in the event. His or her entry will then be considered invalid. 6. Storage of boats and parking of trailers is at the participants own risk. There will be no liability on the part of the Organiser for any damages incurring. 7. Weighing of coxswains and LW rowers will take place two to maximum one hour prior to the first race of the crew on each regatta day in the marked room in the corridor leading to the finish tower. 8. Entries for the Time Relation Trials are exclusively open the Austrian Rowing Federation. 11. Closing of Entries is Wednesday June 6, 2018 at 6:00 12. Entries after the Closing deadline: On principle, races get established at the time of closing of entries. Entries after the closing deadline for already arranged races will be accepted up to the first Team Managers Meeting. The Acceptance of late entries by the Organiser after the closing date is not automatically granted. Relevant decisions will be exclusively taken by the Organising Committee. Post deadline entries will be incorporated into the race programme in accordance with availability of starting places. The amount of entry fee for post closing deadline entries will be calculated in accordance with the Austrian RoR (i.e. increased by 50%). With regard to currently prevailing Data Protection Regulations, a Club will automatically agree, with the nomination of Club members for the regatta, to processing and disclosure of certain personal data concerning their members by the Organiser and the Austrian Rowing Federation for the purpose of informing the public on participation in and results of the regatta. This includes also publication of photos, videos and films. 13. According to 38 of the Austrian RoR entry fees shall be remitted up to June 12, 2018 at the latest, to the account IBAN AT85 6000 0101 1015 5749, BIC BAWAATWW, named Wiener Ruderverband indicating Wiener Internationale as the purpose of remittance. As a proof of remittance a copy shall be kept available for presentation at the Team Managers Meeting. Wiener Ruderverband 4
14. Entry Fee JM-B, JW-B, J14- M&W: 1x 25,00 2x 30,00 4x 40,00 8+ 45,00 The entry fee is an all-inclusive amount and is due for the final race on Sunday. All preliminary heats on Saturday for the finals on Sunday are included. The complete entry fee is also due for participants who want to start on Sunday only. M, W, JM-A, JW-A, Masters 1x 20,00 2x, 2 25,00 4x,4 30,00 8+ 40,00 There will be preliminary and final races on both days for the categories M, W, JM-A, and JW-A. The entry fee is therefore due for each regatta day. For MASTERS the entry fee is due for each race In case of more than 6 entries for a race, there will be preliminary heats on the day before the race. Relevant information will be announced together with the List of Entries following the Close of Entries. Foreign clubs pay 50 % of the entry fee only. 15. 16. MASTERS 16.1 Entries for Masters races are only valid when containing information on the year of birth of the rower. Participants must be able to prove their age by presentation of an official document. The international Age Categories A-J will be applicable. A - Minimum age 27 years C - Average age 43 E - Average age 55 years G - Average age 65 years I -Average age 75 years AX see item ** B- Average age 36 years D Average age 50 years F - Average age 60 years H - Average age 70 years J Average age 80 years ** Special starting regulations: Rowers are entitled to start in category AX if they do not yet fall into one of the official Masters age categories, and if, in addition, they are not part of an official national rowing cadre and have not been racing in a national or international regatta over the distance of 2000m during the current year. This category is in particular indicated for Men and Women as well as for students who do not (or no longer) pertain to any national racing cadre. 16.2 To hold a race, a minimum of two participants from two different clubs is required no matter whether these are of the same age category (e.g. A+A; no handicap) or from two different age categories out of not more than three adjacent age categories (e.g. A+B or A+C or B+C; handicaps will be applied at the start according to item 16.3 of the table below). In case of a single entry in one particular boat class/age category, races may combined with a younger age category race of the same boat class as long as not more than three adjacent age categories are involved and no additional heat will be required.. On principle, each single entry may be combined with other age categories as long as the competitors of the race are within a range of not more than 3 age categories and, in particular, if no additional heat will be created. This will e.g make it possible to race 4 A boats in a category A race together with 1 C boat with adequate handicaps at the start. When racing an age category together with up to three adjacent age categories handicaps will have to be used at the start as shown in the table below. 16.3 Table of Handicaps (handicaps in seconds for the distance of 1000 m); the time differences in the table refer to adjacent age categories for races over a distance of 1000m.Handicaps for more distant age categories are calculated by adding up all relevant individual handicaps. 16.3. In case of more than 18 entries for a race, progression to the finals may take place by individual time trials. The exact mode of progression will be defined in the System of Progression and communicated together with the List of Entries after the Close of Entries. The Saturday races are considered qualification races for the Sunday races. The divisional races on Sunday will be seeded by the Jury in accordance with the rankings obtained in the Saturday races. Participants who have not been racing on Saturday or have not reached the finish line on Saturday will be seeded into the last group of the Sunday races. M, W, JM-A, JW-A: All races will be rowed with preliminaries and finals on both days In case of more than 18 entries for a race, individual time trials may be held for progression into the finals. The exact mode of progression will be defined in the System of Progression and communicated together with the List of Entries after the Close of Entries. All finals will be rowed. The starting order of the races will be in accordance with the currently valid FISA World Championship Rules. In case of less than 6 but not less than 3 boats per heat, a preliminary race will have to be rowed for the allocation of lanes. Other Regulations 1. Composite Crews/Big Blades Big Blades are not allowed in J14- races. Composite crews are handled in accordance with 16 RoR of the Austrian Rowing Federation. EXCEPTION: JM-B 8+ and JW-B4x within the framework of a project of the Austrian Rowing Federation Composite crews are also admitted in Junior A, Men/Women and Masters races but have to wear uniform racing clothes at the start. 2. Liability The Organiser of the event is liable within the framework of current legal provisions. Participants should provide themselves for appropriate material and personal insurance. No liability will be accepted on the part of the Organiser in case of any kind of damage possibly incurring. 3. Austrian Club Championships 2018 (ÖVM 2018) All Austrian M&W Junior rowers racing in categories A and B will be evaluated for their ranking in the Austrian Club Championships 2018. Each seat of the winning crew will be assigned the number of points equalling to the number of boats valued in the race Each of the following boats crossing the finishing line will be awarded one point less per seat of the boat depending on its rank achieved. Coxswains do not count. In composite crews the points achieved will be divided among the clubs involved. 6. Approval Approved by the Technical Commission of the Austrian Rowing Federation on January 9, 2018 (original German version) with regard to conformity with the RoR of the Austrian Rowing Federation, and for possible divergences thereof.
