Failure to do so will result in an additional $10 fee added to your bill. You must submit copies of your AHA & USEF membership cards with your entries or a Single Event Fee of $45 must be paid. Adults, guardians or trainers must sign for minors on entry form in addition to signing consent statement. Horses entered in amateur owner or junior owner classes MUST be registered in the name of the competitor or a member of the competitors family. CONTRACTS OF SALE OR BILL OF SALE ARE NOT ACCEPTED. AHA Competition Membership Card is required for owner, handler, rider, trainer or a Single Event Membership must be purchased for $35 per person. ENTRIES CLOSE April 27th, 2018 5

AHA Non-member fee ~ A single event membership fee of $35 will be charged to any exhibitor, trainer or owner in the event that a copy of a current membership card with competition privileges is not provided with show entries. In the event that your entries are received without your AHA Competition Card and you are able to bring a copy to the show office upon checking in this fee will be removed. USEF Non-member fee ~ A USEF non-member fee of $45 will be charged to any exhibitor, trainer or owner in the event that a copy of a current membership card is not provided with show entries. A USEF Amateur non-member fee of $30 will be charged if exhibitor is competing in an Amateur class. Ribbons & Trophies ~ Given this is a double judged show, to expedite classes moving in a timely fashion, ribbons and Championship trophies will be in the show office. You may pick those up anytime during the show. Premium Payback ~ Premium payback checks must be cashed 60 days from the close of the show. Your payback check must be cashed on or before July 13th, 2018. If you receive a payback check please be sure to cash this before this date so we can close the show account. All checks will be considered void if not cashed within 60 days from the last day of the show. ALL EXHIBITORS ~ When you come to check in at the show office please be sure that you bring your Open Tab Check made payable to AHAN. Exhibitor numbers will not be released to you or your trainer unless a Tab Check is presented. This check will be held until the close of the show and will be used to close out your entry. It will cover all the costs that occur during the show and will speed up your time in the show office upon checking out. Camping ~ Camping is available at Lancaster Event Center. Please contact the Lancaster Event Center to make arrangements @ http://www.lancastereventcenter.org/plan-visit/camping. Camping does include electric hookup. There is a form that you will need to pick up in the show office before your electricity will be turned on. Dogs ~ All dogs are required to be on a leash Show Office ~ The show office is located in the Amy s Arena. Barn Party ~ Friday evening we will be having a Barn Party. A time to relax, enjoy friends, and share in some great food. Everyone is encouraged to participate. If your barn is planning on bringing food items, please let us know what will be served. This year we will have our Barn Party in the Pavillion II. The show will furnish bowls, silverware and napkins. Please contact the show secretary if you need phone numbers of anyone in town that would cater your food to the LEC. Chow Down ~ Saturday morning from 8am-10am we will be serving up a Pancake Breakfast sponsored by AHAN. All exhibitors are welcome. This will be in the Amy s Arena. Stalling ~ Main ring classes will be held in the Amy s Arena (Pavilion 4). Limited number of stalls available (on dirt) on a first come/ first served basis. Additional stalls are in Barn 2 Bedding ~ Please remember that per rules of the Lancaster Event Center, no outside shavings are to be brought in. All shavings must be purchased from LEC. Shavings must be pre-ordered by using this link http://www.lancastereventcenter.org. Arrival Times ~ All stalls will be available on Thursday May 10th at 8:00 a.m. If you plan to arrive before this day you will be charged a $30 per horse/per stall early arrival fee. Please contact the Show Secretary if you plan to arrive earlier than the above arrival date. GENERAL RULES 1. RULES EVERY CLASS OFFERED HEREIN WHICH IS COVERED BY THE RULES AND SPECIFICATIONS OF THE CURRENT USEF/AHA RULE BOOKS WILL BE CONDUCTED AND JUDGED IN ACCORDANCE THEREWITH. Any changes in the USEF/AHA rules will automatically become a part of this prize list. The Show committee reserves the right to make such changes in procedure, personnel, rules and regulations as shall be deemed by them to be in the best interest of the show. All exhibitors are assumed to have knowledge of and understand the USEF/AHA rule books. 2. REGISTRY REQUIREMENTS All horses yearlings and older to be shown in classes designated for Purebred Arabians must be registered with the Arabian Horse Registry of America, Inc. and/or the Canadian Arabian Horse Registry, or, if weanlings, MUST be eligible for registry and registration applied for and must be entered under their full name. In the Half-Arabian classes, entry s sire or dam MUST be a purebred Arabian registered in the AHR of America and/or the Canadian Arabian Horse Registry. Half-Arabians MUST be registered with the Arabian Horse Association in the HalfArabian or Anglo-Arabian Registry, or if weanlings, must be eligible for registry and registration applied for and must be entered under their full registered name. 3. RESPONSIBILITY All entries are accepted with the understanding that the Arabian Horse Association of Nebraska and the Lancaster Event Center will not be held responsible for any loss, personal injury or damage to horses exhibited: or for any article of any kind or nature that may be lost or destroyed or in any way damaged. Each exhibitor will be responsible for any injury that may be occasioned to any person, or any animal, or damage of any property while on the show grounds by any horse owned or exhibited by him; and shall indemnify the management against all legally established claims or injury occasioned by any horse owned or exhibited by him or arise from the negligence of the person in charge of any such horse. The submitting of any entry form to the show secretary shall constitute an acceptance of each person signing the same of the provisions herein set forth. 4. OWNERSHIP REQUIREMENTS The ownership of all horses entered in the show must be clearly stated on the entry form. Any deviation between papers and entry form must have reason (purchase, lease, papers in transit, etc.). It is required that all owners and exhibitors shall be members in good standing of an Arabian Horse Association affiliated with the Arabian Horse Association, Aurora, Colorado, or pay a $35.00 SEM (single event fee) in order to exhibit. Horses entered in amateur owner and junior owner classes MUST be registered in the name of the competitor or a member of the competitor s family. CONTRACTS OF SALE or BILL OF SALE are not accepted. 5. JUDGES We will be using a double judge system. In the event that due to an illness or failure of a judge to attend this show or to perform his/her duties, the show committee reserves the right to substitute a judge for the one who is officially designated in the prize list, according to USEF rules. It is a violation of USEF rules to commit any act or make remarks during the show that are considered offensive or made with intent to influence or cast aspersions on the judging, and any exhibitor may be barred from the show for this offense by the show committee. No contact shall be made with the judge during the period of the show unless accompanied by a member of the show committee designated by the show committee for such purpose. Further, no exhibitor shall approach a judge regarding a decision unless they first obtain permission from the steward, who shall arrange an appointment with the judge at a proper time and place. No exhibitor has the right to inspect the judge s cards without the judge s permission. 6. DISCIPLINE Exhibitors are warned that any act of discourtesy or disobedience to the officials on the part of the owner, groom, rider, driver or member of the family of the person participating in this show will disqualify the horse from adjudication. The management reserves the right to remove a groom, horse, rider, or driver from the show without being liable for compensation or damages. 7. PROTEST A protest must be filled in accordance with the procedures as set forth in the USEF Rule Book. 8. DRUGS AND MEDICATIONS The USEF Drugs and Medications Rule will be enforced principally by saliva and urine tests taken by a veterinarian and skilled technicians who are agents of the USEF who must be treated with courtesy and respect. Caution: refusal to submit a horse for examination whether in competition or not, and to cooperate with the veterinarian and technicians until the urine and saliva samples have been taken constitutes a violation and subjects the responsible person to the penalties under this rule. All horses (halter horses included) will be charged $23.00 per horse ($15 drugs & medications + $8 USEF fee) to defray the expenses of testing. 9. MEASURING OF HORSES All horses entered in this show are subject to hoof inspections at the discretion of the show management and may be inspected by the steward and/or show veterinarian at any time. Toe measurement and shoe weighing will be in accordance with USEF rules Arabian Division. 10. CRUELTY OR ABUSE Cruelty to or the abuse of a horse by any person at a recognized show is forbidden and penalty for same will be enforced to the full extent the rules will allow. 11. RECORDING OF HORSES The USEF maintains the only official record of winnings of horses at all regular member shows. Horses competing must be recorded under their full registered names. Recording blanks are available at the USEF office. The recording fee for the life of a horse is $200.00. Annual renewal fee of $75.00. 12. REGISTRATION PAPERS The Board of Directors of AHA requires approved shows to require a copy of both sides of the current registration papers of each entry to be submitted along with the entry form. Any entries received without such registration papers will be charged an additional fee of $10.00. The copies of registration papers will not be returned to you in your show packet. No show packets will be released to any exhibitor who does not comply. 13. SHOWING STALLIONS Stallions may be shown by ladies and junior exhibitors in all classes except: Walk-Trot, Lead line and Showmanship. 14. SHOW OFFICE The show office will be open at 12:00p.m on Thursday, May 10th.. Each day of the show, the office will be open from one hour before the start of the show until one hour after the last class. Exhibitors are required to register promptly at the horse show office during these hours. Any changes will be posted and announced. The show office phone number is 402-4416047. 15. SHOW TABS Any exhibitor wishing to start a tab at the show office will be required to leave a signed check at the office made payable to AHAN {Arabian Horse Association of Nebraska} 16. POST ENTRY FEE To encourage pre-entries, a fee of $35 per horse will be assessed on all entries post-marked after April 27th, 2018. There is no post-entry charge for horses already preentered. 17. HEALTH CERTIFICATES Health Certificates (current within 30 days) and Negative Coggins Test (current within 12 months) are required of all horses originating OUTSIDE the State of Nebraska. 18. CALL FOR CLASSES Two minutes will be allowed after the first horse enters the ring. If tack changes are necessary, it is the exhibitor s responsibility to notify the gate person for a three-minute hold. Calls for classes must be considered a courtesy. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to be certain his horse is at the gate at the prescribed time. Should a horse not make the gate, no refunds will be made. Gate Holds will be allowed only for back-to-back classes. 19. IDENTIFICATION NUMBERS Every horse entered in the show will be assigned an identification number. Correct numbers should be worn by riders and handlers at all times. 20. CLOSING OF ENTRIES Entries close April 27th, 2018 and must be postmarked no later than that date. Post entries will be accepted at a post entry fee rate of an additional $35 per horse up to one hour prior to the beginning of the session in which the class will be held. There is no post-entry charge for horses already pre-entered. All entries will close one hour prior to the beginning of the session in which that class is held, unless posted otherwise. 21. NUMBER OF ENTRIES IN A CLASS Three or more entries shown and judged constitute a class for payback purposes. If less than three entries are shown and judged, the class will be held for qualifying purposes only with ribbons being awarded -- no prize money will be awarded. The right to split any class which might have so many entries that all cannot be shown properly at the same time will be left to the show committee. Payback shall be determined by the number of entrants shown and judged: 7 or more horses pay to 5th place, 6 horses pay to 4th place, 5 horses pay to 3rd place, 4 horses pay to 2nd place, 3 horses pay to 1st place. 21

22. REFUNDS Management agrees to cancel and refund all fees except the office fee on any horse not fit to show providing a signed and dated veterinarian s certificate is given to the show secretary on or before the first day of the show (May 11, 2018). All refunds will be made by mail within 30 days of show closing, unless used as a credit on a show tab. Vet-outs that occur at the show will receive a refund of the class entry fees for only the classes the horse had to vet out, and it cannot re-enter the show. Requests for any refund because of illness or injury of the exhibitor will be considered and subject to management s approval. Substitution of horses will be permitted in accordance with USEF rules. 23. GPAC PAYBACKS AND CHAMPIONSHIP ENTRIES Payback checks will be paid by mail within 30 days after the show if accounts have been paid in full. The first three (3) places in a qualifying class MUST show back in the respective championship class or forfeit all prize monies and awards. All horses shown and judged in a qualifying class MAY show back in the championship. All payback checks must be cashed within 60 days of the final day of the show. Any payback check not cashed at the end of the 60 days will be considered void. 24. ARRIVAL TIME Horses will be accepted Thursday, May 10th at 8:00a.m. Management requires anyone who desires to arrive before the above stated dates and times MUST contact the Show Secretary in advance. 25. STALLS Stalls will be available Thursday, May 10th, 2018 at 8:00a.m. The management requires that anyone who desires to arrive before 8:00a.m. on May 10th contact the show secretary in advance. A fee of $30 per horse/per stall/ per day will be charged for early arrivals or those remaining after 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 13th. Exhibitors wishing to be stalled together should send in their entries together. Horses must be placed in stalls assigned and no changes will be permitted without the consent of the Barn Manager or Show Management. Stalls are permanent, 10 x 10, with full doors and are on dirt. The show committee reserves the right to limit tack/groom stalls to 1 per every 3 horses if it becomes necessary. Decorative rock, chips or sawdust used by the exhibitor should be cleaned up at the end of the show by the exhibitor. 26. BEDDING No bedding will be provided with stalls. Hours available will be posted and announced. ABSOLUTELY NO OUTSIDE BEDDING WILL BE ALLOWED TO BE BROUGHT INTO THE LANCASTER EVENT CENTER. BEDDING MUST BE PURCHASED ON THE SHOW GROUNDS. No straw bedding will be allowed. 27. ARENA The Amy s Arena will be open Thursday, May 10th at 8:00 a.m. Thereafter the arena will be available for practice as posted or announced. The footing in all arenas consists of a mixture of clay and sand. The show arena is approximately 125 feet X 225 feet. The outdoor exercise arena, 500 x 500 feet, will be available for use at all times. Pavilion 3 Arena is 220 feet X 114 feet. 28. ADMISSION TO THE SHOW ARENA No person will be permitted to enter the arena except participants in the class, judges and their assistants and the show photographer. Attendants will not be allowed in the arena until summoned by order of the judge. 29. DOGS All dogs must be confined to a leash at all times. Animal control will be called if dog is found to be off leash and owner of dog will be fined. 30. VEHICLES Per USEF Rule GR901.29: Minors who do not have a valid driver s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver s license. The parent(s), legal guardian(s), or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include the exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule. ABSOLUTELY NO BIKES, SCOOTERS, FOUR-WHEELERS OR GOLF CARTS WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE LANCASTER EVENT CENTER OR IN THE CAMPGROUND AREA. Please leave these items at home. 31. WALK-TROT CLASSES To be judged at a walk and trot (jog trot) (normal trot) accordingly. Riders (with the exception of Adult Walk/Trot) must not have ever been judged in a class at a recognized or nonrecognized show requiring a canter/lope. 32. LEAD- LINE CLASS Open to riders who are at least two (2) years of age and have not reached their seventh (7th) birthday as of December 1. Leaders must be at least fourteen (14) years of age. Refer to AHA Article 1218. 33. NO SHOW OR SCRATCHED CLASSES To expedite the flow of classes, scratches must be reported to the Show Office or Gate before the beginning of the class. If scratches are not reported a $10.00 No Show Fee will be assessed per class. 34. SHARPS CONTAINERS: Sharps containers will be placed in the stalling barns for the disposal of needles and other disposable sharp instruments in convenient locations throughout the stalling barns. These containers when full will be disposed of properly. Competition management will fine any individuals including trainer, owner, exhibitors or their agents up to $100 for improper disposal of needles or other sharp disposable instruments per USEF rule book. 35. SELECT AATR Open to a rider that has not won a 1) One AHA National Champion or Reserve Champion or Top Ten in that particular section in which they are shown 2) One AHA National Champion or Reserve Champion in a Select class in that particular section in which they are shown 3) Three AHA National Top Tens in a Select class in that particular section in which they are shown 4) One AHA Regional Champion, Reserve Champion or three Top Fives in that particular section in which they are shown 5) Two AHA Regional Champion in a Select class in that particular section which they are shown. National and Regional Classes with 2 or less entries will not effect Select Rider Status. If competitors are eligible to compete as a Select Rider/Driver/Handler in a section on December 1, said eligibility remains throughout the current competition year. (That said eligibility is determined beginning with Regional and National competitions of 1997. Limited classes beginning in 2001) 36. JUNIOR HORSE CLASSES Entries shown and judged in junior horse classes are eligible for corresponding open championship class as long as there is not a junior horse championship, but are NOT REQUIRED to show back. 37. HALTER & HALTER CHAMPIONSHIPS Procedure to be used for Halter will be In Ring. First and second place winner in AOTH halter classes may show back in the open championship if their entry is at least 2 years of age (exception: yearling purebred and Half-Arabian geldings may show back in championships. 38. SCRATCHES All class entries/scratches should be made through the show office in an appropriate manner. Add/Scratch forms are available in the show office. As a courtesy, exhibitors are requested to notify the gate personnel and show office of any scratches. Class entry fees will be refunded if a scratch form is submitted in the show office before the session in which the scratched class is held. 39. REFUSAL OF ENTRIES Show management retains the right to refuse entries in accordance with USEF Rule XV, Article 1509, Section 1. 40. FARRIERS, VETERINARIANS Any farrier or veterinarians other than the official show farrier or veterinarian must check in at the show office and shall service only those animals as specifically requested by the owner (s) thereof. 22

41. GR845 Equine Vaccination Rule [CHAPTER 8-F Welfare of the Horse] 1. At Federation licensed competitions, horses more than 7 months of age, entering the grounds must be accompanied by documentation of Equine Influenza Virus and Equine Herpes Virus (Rhinopneumonitis) vaccinations within six months prior to entering the stables. Horses not in compliance with this rule may be required to leave the competition grounds upon request by Competition Management. Documentation should consist of one of the following methods mentioned below. The frequency of vaccine administration should be per the vaccine manufacturers or veterinarian s recommendations. It is recommended that vaccines are administered by or under the direction of a veterinarian. 2. In the case of vaccines administered by a veterinarian, the exhibitor, upon request by Competition Management, must provide documentation from the veterinarian on documenting that the horse in question received the vaccinations; name of the vaccines and date of vaccine administration. 3. In the case of vaccines administered by a person other than a veterinarian, the exhibitor, upon request by Competition Management, must provide a receipt of the vaccine purchase which is signed by the owner, or agent with care, custody, and control of the horse; name, serial number and expiration date of the vaccine; and date of vaccine administration. 4. In the case of a horse that is unable to receive either of the vaccinations due to a history of adverse reactions, the exhibitor, upon request by Competition Management, must provide a letter from the veterinarian on official letterhead stating that the horse in question cannot be vaccinated due to medical concerns and a log of temperatures taken twice daily for the seven days prior to entering the competition grounds. These horses must also have their temperature taken and logged twice daily while on the competition grounds. The log of temperatures should be provided to the Competition Management, steward, or technical delegate when requested. 5. Competition Management may not amend or enhance vaccination requirements without prior approval of the Veterinary Committee. ******Proof of vaccination is required with all entries****** Stall Shavings and Camping Facilities The Lancaster Event Center requires that shavings be ordered in advance of the show directly through the LEC website. Rubber mats are also available for rent during the show. JOTR QUALIFICATION ELECTION FROM JTR CLASSES: JTR classes at this show will qualify a youth for either JOTR or JTR classes at Regionals or Youth Nationals shows as stated in the new AHA rule. JOTR riders may assign or designate their qualification for Youth National and Regional Championship shows from a JTR class provided the same JOTR class is not offered in that discipline at that show. No written designation is required. LOCATION OF CLASSES: Show Management reserves the right to hold classes, or portions of classes in any ring other than the main show arena if deem ed necessary. USEF MEMBERSHIP STATEMENT Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary Level or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides. A nonmember may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $45 Show Pass fee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) leadline; 2) exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot (exception: Friesian performance FR222) and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed Reining Competitions. 8) Opportunity classes, 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own National Federation, 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes. Our organization is open to families or individuals with an interest in Arabians, whether or not they own one. Owning and showing Arabian horses is a family oriented activity.
