Anniversary Exhibition As part of its weekend of celebrations, Wimbledon Ladies Hockey Club are staging a unique exhibition exploring the last 125 years of the club s history. Displaying photographs, papers and ephemera relating to every stage of WLHC s past, this exhibition will be a celebration of the journey the club has taken from 1889 to today. Wimbledon Ladies Hockey Club has experienced a wide range of events from World Wars, to women being granted the right to vote and the acceptance of women s hockey as an Olympic Sport. The display covers many aspects of WLHC s history, from the change in kit to the surface played on and from the club s experiences of the non league days to playing in the Surrey, South and National League. One section of the exhibition shows a number of individuals who have been instrumental in supporting the survival and on going progress of WLHC. On display will be items provided by our members, our archives and from The Hockey Museum. WLHC is grateful to the players for contributing these photographs, personal objects, and memories to the exhibition.
