The installation of VERSUS Gauge should be done according to the following scheme: 1) In most cases optimal position of the Gauge towards Multivalve is as on the picture: NOTE: THE MOST IMPORTANT IN VERSUS GAUGE CALLIBRATION IS TO SELECT PROPER POSITION OF THE GAUGE TOWARDS THE MULTIVALVE AND TO FIT THE INDICATOR SOLIDLY. The back side of the indicator have to be the closest to the MV (not far than 0,5 mm). If it is fitted in other way the indicator could not show every level of LPG inside the tank.
In most cases optimal position of the gauge is in the range between (pictures below): Not suggested positions (pictures below): INCORRECT! If the gauge is incorrectly fitted to the Multivalve the indication of LPG inside the tank could be different tan real level or proportionally different. www.versuslpg.com
There are 5 diodes on the indicator. One of them shines on red (low level of LPG in the tank). The rest of them indicate the level of LPG in the tank (green color). To set up proper indication of LPG level inside the tank you it is recommended: a) firstly to fill the tank with about ¼ real capacity. Real capacity means that if nominal capacity is 50 liters the tank can be filled only with 40 liters of LPG (20% of air safety area inside the tank). b) So in case of 50 liters capacity tank you have to fill the tank with 10 (1/4 of 40 liters = 10 liters) liters of LPG. Than; c) It is essential to set up proper indication on the gauge. The indication on that is as follows: Note: ONLY ONE OF THE DIODES SHINES. d) If the tank was filled with ¼ real capacity (in our case 50 ltr nominal capacity = 40 ltr real capacity. ¼ = 10 ltr) first step is to turn the indicator on the gauge to set up initially proper indication. There is no rule if you are to turn the indicator right or left. You have to turn the indicator till the moment the second diode starts to shine (first green diode from the diagram above). e) Next stem is to screw the indicator to the Multivalve (two screws from both sides of the indicator). www.versuslpg.com
f) If there is 10 ltr of LPG inside of 50 ltr nominal capacity the tank and the indicator was properly fitted to Multivalve on VERSUS change over switch inside driver cabin you can see red diode shining (not blinking, not any green diode shining). g) If there is any difference in the indication between VERSUS change over switch and VERSUS LPG Gauge you can set up proper indication in the software (described in further part of this manual). BEFORE THAT PLEASE MAKE SURE THE INDICATOR IS PROPERLY CONNECTED TO THE MULTIVAVLE (POSITION, SOLIDNESS). h) Than what should be done is to fill up the tank in full. In our case (50 ltr nominal capacity LPG tank it should be 10 ltr + 30 ltr = total 40 ltr). If LPG Tank is full the indicator fitted to Multivalve should show Full tank diode shining. On VERSUS change over switch you could see all of the diodes shining. If there is any difference in the indication you should set up adequate parameter in VERSUS software in LPG level sensor bookmark: NOTE: the changes should be performed when the car works on LPG. i) VERSUS software automatically set up VERSUS/AEB1050 sensor. Please check if you selected right sensor (should be as on the picture above in case of VERSUS LPG gauge). Than if the indication is not real you have the possibility to change it. In case of Full tank you should operate the value responsible for 1/1 (picture below).
There is no rule if you should decrease the value of to increase. In our case initial value of that is 241. If the diode 1/1 does not shine but the tank is full you have to increase or decrease the parameter in the window responsible for that indication till the moment the indication is proper (all diodes of VERSUS change over switch shines). NOTE: AFTER ANY CHANGE IN THE VALUE IN THE WINDOWS RESPONSIBLE FOR INDICATION YOU HAVE TO PRESS WRITE TO DEVICE. j) You can set up the value for ½, ¾ in the same way on the basis of the same rules. Note: if you intend to set up the parameter responsible for ¾th indication there should be ¾ LPG inside the tank. There are some reasons for improper indication: 1) the construction of Multivalve itself. Sometimes in case of 50 ltr nominal capacity the tank can be filled with 45 ltr (sometimes 37 ltr etc.). Also how many liters of LPG can be put inside the tank depends on LPG filling station pump pressure (some differences between different countries standards/allowed pressure). 2) The indication is based on some magnetic rules. Multivalve (E67R 01 ) has a coil. Coil generates electromagnetic field that can disturb proper work of any LPG gauge. EXAMINIG PROPER WORK OF THE INDICATOR. Therefore sometimes it is essential to set up proper indication in the software. To examine if the gauge works correct (if it is not broken) you should: 1) connect wiring to the indicator (+, - is to be connected) 2) to use Multivalve (recommended) or piece of magnet and to put it close to back side of the indicator. 3) Than to move the arm of Multivalve/magnet slowly. 4) If the gauge works correct EVERY DIODE SEPARATELY shines.
