The Summer Concert Series begins Friday, July 10, 2009 and continues every Friday and Saturday night through August 29, 2009.

HISTORICAL MILESTONES Paseo Colorado s concert series began on Friday, July 7, 2006 with approximately 1000 people in attendance. By the end of the series on Friday, August 25, 2006 the crowds had increased to 2000 to 3000 people crowding into the dance area. The size of the dance floor increased three times during the series. To drive traffic into the stores a dance contest was held starting the first week of August. During the 4-week contest seventeen dance teams competed for a Weekend in Napa courtesy of Shell Vacations Club, with over 2000 ballots cast for the contestants. A winner was chosen at the final concert of the series. The popular concerts featured some of the most renowned swing and salsa bands in California and drew large amounts of fans to see the performances. The Pasadena Ballroom Dance Association offered a one-half hour dance lesson at the beginning of each concert. Over 100 people took the class each week and the Pasadena Ballroom Dance Association increased their membership by 20% due to the exposure at each Friday night concert. Dancing Under the Stars received over 5 million media impressions, including weekly updates on popular dance websites and blogs, increasing exposure for Paseo Colorado to a new audience not previously targeted.
