WHAT WE DO Cultural Arts Education Annually Serving: 90 programs 6,500 + youth participants 600 + youth performers Launched in 2004 LEAF Schools & Streets has served 50,000+ youth locally through residencies, workshops and interactive performances. At LEAF Festival, LEAF Schools & Streets Resident and Visiting Teaching Artists (RTA/VTA) perform with students on each stage showcasing their music and art. VTAs spend time in local schools the week prior to LEAF Festival. Annually Serving: 10 countries 300 + youth participants 17 teaching artists Launched in 2006 LEAF International has served 1,050+ global youth connecting them to their traditions, artists, instruments, and costumes. At LEAF Festival, a LEAF International program journeys to Asheville to conduct a cultural exchangeprogram in the local community; performances and connection opportunites take place on Festival grounds.
