Please read thoroughly. Team Managers are required to know this important information. 1. All entries and enquiries regarding this championship to NSEA only. Email fw.nsea@gmail.com Addington are not dealing with any show enquiries other than stabling. 2. All stabling to be booked only through Addington. Booking form available from Addington website; www.addingtonmanor.co.uk. All other enquiries to NSEA We recommend that each school block books stables for all riders in their squad. Please designate 1 person per school / college to book stabling and send all paperwork and cheques in at same time. 3. Only teams and individuals qualified for the championships are eligible to compete at this event. 4. Please read rules carefully for eligibility for all disciplines at the show. All Rules for the Championship classes and qualification rules for teams can be found on the NSEA website. 5. The Team Manager is responsible for the conduct and welfare of their school s horses, riders and other connected parties(parents, supporters etc) at all times on the show ground. Supporters are encouraged to attend but entry is by wristband only and these must be purchased in advance using the Championships Passes Form. 6. Directions to Addington Manor and a list of local hotels and B&B s can be found on the Addington website 7. In accordance with Health and Safety Regulations, dogs will only be permitted in the car and lorry parks. (Dogs are not allowed in the competition or public areas, main building, cafeteria or stable barn) 8. 10 deposit per stable on arrival. Do not send with booking. This will be refunded when your stable is left clean before you leave. No refunds will be given after the event. If a deposit is not taken, any stable left dirty will result in a 10 charge. All hay & droppings must be removed. All stable bookings close a week before the show. 9. No BBQs or chimneas in the lorry park. 10. Hook ups to be arranged with Addington. 11. Include with your entries an A4 SAE with 2 LARGE first class stamps. You will be sent security wristbands for competitors and all other persons attached to the team, which you will need to get into the show ground. 12. All jumping courses will be raised 5cm from the qualifiers, at the Championships. 13. In the event of cancellation, entry fees shall be returned on receipt of a SAE, less 5 per competitor per class to help cover costs. 14. After 10p.m, the stable area should be quiet. Please be aware that horses need to rest and therefore noise, lighting and intrusion should be kept to an absolute minimum. Late night checks should be conducted prior to 10p.m. 15. A contact number must be left on the stable door of every horse in case of an emergency. 16. The restaurant will be serving hot evening meals as well as food all day. There are showers in the stable area for those staying on site. Anyone wishing to camp in a tent must ask the stable manager where it may be pitched. No fires or camping gas cookers in the lorry park or stable field. Horses may not arrive after 10pm and before 6am unless by prior arrangement with the stable office as the stable area will be closed Addington Manor Equestrian Centre and the NSEA reserve the right to refuse entry to, and remove, any individual without giving a reason.

Paramedic cover is a one-off charge of 6 per rider, for the whole Championships - please add this to your passes & first aid form Horses are to be plaited for the Championships. Riders are representing their school and are expected to be tidy. Hair to be kept above collar length in all classes including show jumping and in a hairnet where appropriate. Jumping Heights: will be raised 5cm in each round at the Championships Mini = 70-75cm, Novice = 80-85cm, Intermediate = 90-95cm, Open = 1 1.05m, Advanced Open = 1.10-1.15m. READ the 30 cm Rule. Individual Competitors: Show Jumping and JwS Team members do not count for individual placings unless they have also qualified as an individual. Any competitor who is in a team and has also qualified individually must indicate this with ** and highlight against their name on the entry form and should only pay once as they will only jump once with their score counting towards both the team score and their individual score. Individuals- Dressage Competitors must pay for each class entered as there are separate championships for dressage teams & individuals. Substitutions Please ensure that all substitutions are clearly marked on the entry form. Individual championships- there can be no horse or rider substitutions for individual championships as it is the horse/rider combination who have qualified. Any rider who has subsequently sold / lost their horse may enter the Rio special classes instead. Cut off for all changes must be sent to the entries secretary- 12 noon on Saturday 14 th October. NSEA / BE Points League Championship Prizes kindly sponsored by NSEA, British Eventing and the overall winner will win a saddle kindly donated by Greenwich Olympian British Eventing have donated vouchers to the top 3 points winners in each section Horse/rider combinations have qualified for this Championship from the NSEA/BE Points League 2017. There will be a presentation to the top 10 placings in the 80, 90, 1m & 1.10 Points leagues on Friday evening. The winners of each section will also win an NSEA Championship Rug. In addition all qualified riders will be invited to compete in the special eventing points league challenge section at the Championships and have the opportunity to win a made to measure dressage saddle. Competitors will ride a dressage test followed by a combined SJ & simulated XC track in an arena The overall winner of the saddle will be calculated over the four height sections from % dressage scores plus jumping and time penalties in the show jumping and simulated XC phases. No rider may jump more than once and need to jump the height they normally compete. Best 6 scores to count. The 30cm Rule applies. Single phase. The winning school will be the one with the fewest jumping penalties. In the event of a tie, the times from the top 6 scores of each school will be added together. Security guards will be posted at the entrance. Wristbands will be checked on the gates. NO WRISTBAND = NO ENTRY! Please ask any supporters to order wristbands in advance as they are not available for purchase on the gate. The Team Manager is responsible for the conduct and welfare of their school s horses, riders and other connected parties (parents, supporters etc) at all times on the show ground. Competitors may not stay on site unattended by the Team Manager / parent at any time. Conditions of Entry 2017 Team Managers- please ensure that all horses / riders are correctly qualified for the classes they are entered for. READ the ADDITIONAL RULES including the 30cm rule. All competitors, parents and representatives from every school must ensure that they act courteously to stewards and officials at all times. Rudeness and unsportsmanlike behaviour will not be tolerated and could result in elimination. Please help us to ensure that this Championship is run in the true spirit of competition and fair play. In order to compete in events listed on the NSEA website, all competing schools must be members of the NSEA, and show their membership number on entry forms. For full details of how to join go to www.nsea.org.uk Entries must be made in advance, late entries to be accepted at the discretion of the organisers. The organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry for any reason. Competitors must wear correct clothing and tack in accordance with the appropriate BD/ BS/ NSEA JwS rules. Lungeing is not permitted in any working area. Horses may not be worked in by adults. The decision of the judges is final. Children under 16 must be supervised at all times. All riders MUST wear hard hats, correctly fitting and to the latest BSI specifications according to the rules with the chin strap done up whilst mounted. All dressage hats must have a fitted chin strap. Any objections must be made, by the Team Manager, to the organiser within 5 minutes of the completion of the event, in writing on an official adjudication form, accompanied by a deposit of 30 which may be forfeited if the objection is overruled. The organisers shall not be liable for any claims in respect of damage or accident to any person, whether competitor, servant or spectator, horse, vehicle or property, howsoever caused in conjunction with or arising out of the show. All warranties, conditions and other terms implied by statute or common law in relation to any activity at NSEA Championships are, to the fullest extent permitted by law, excluded. This does not exclude or limit our liability to you for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or any matter for which it would be illegal for us to exclude or attempt to exclude our liability or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Notwithstanding the above, NSEA s total liability (including any liability for the acts or omissions of its employees, agents, consultants and subcontractors) in contract, tort (including negligence or breach of statutory duty), misrepresentation, restitution or otherwise arising in connection with your attendance or participation in any activity at NSEA Championships shall be limited to 5,000,000. Please indicate on the entry form if you do not wish to appear in press coverage/ TV or photos taken by our official photographers& film crew.
