Main Street Pizza (Austin Martinez, Food Critic) Just a few minutes away on Main Street sits an oasis of Italian pastas and pizza. The haven is named Main Street Pizza, and it is located at 1906 N. Main Street which is across from Travis Early CollegeHigh School. The prices are reasonable considering the quality and portions of the meals. Each pasta dish is served with a garden salad and a wonderous slice of oven-fresh bread. My favorite pasta is the Chicken Alfredo, although if you are a cheese fan don t miss out on the Baked Lasagna. The pizzas are amazing. The pizza crust is perfection. The restaurant offers a wide range of toppings. The pepperoni and Italian sausage would bring a tear of joy to any pizza fan. Don t be surprised if you see someone from campus at the restaurant. This place is a popular stop for families looking for a good meal after school. Stop by & take advantage of the delicious daily specials. First Pep Rally of 2015 (Dolores Torres, Staff Reporter) September 11 th marked the first pep rally of the 2015-2016 school year. This year s first winners of the Spirit Legs were the Juniors, who beat out the others by being the loudest and proudest. Judging from the success of our first pep rally, no doubt, you will not want to miss the next one. Go Buffaloes! An absolutely fantastic morning witnessed over 100 Fox Tech students and faculty representing Fox Tech in the annual Diez y Seiz Parade through San Antonio s Westside. Although, the Buffaloes were staged last in the event, Fox Tech managed to conserve enough energy to wow the crowd to capture the Best #1 Marching Unit trophy. The event was a fun opportunity for our campus to bond in solidarity. Dr. Garcia was so proud boasting that this recognition is just the beginning of a great year as we Power Up, and Up, and Up! * 3
Batman v. Superman (Austin Covert, Film Critic) This is one of DC Comic s most anticipated movies in recent history. This socalled DC master piece has stirred up immense hype that fans everywhere wait with anticipation as each new trailer is released. Just like the fans, this mild mannered reporter could not be more excited about this movie. The story takes a new spin on the epic clashes between gods and titans. In the DC comic world, there was a battle between Superman and Zod in the Man of Steel movie (2013), which features the Wayne Towers of Metropolis being destroyed. Bruce Wayne (Batman) was devastated by the deaths of his buildings workers. Their deaths led toward a grieving resentment by Batman toward Superman. Batman views Superman as a threat to society. Lex Luther, Superman s iconic villain convinces the people of Metropolis that Batman is also a threat. The Super-Villain succeeds in playing both sides against each other the Dark Knight vigilante vs. the Boy Scout image of the Man of Steel. Who will win this epic battle? My vote sign me up for Team Batman.
