The Bison are coming off a pair of Patriot League games and this will be their second-to-last contest against a non-patriot League opponent this season (VMI on Nov. 23 is the other). After struggling to put points on the board the previous three outings, Bucknell totaled 27 points last Saturday against Holy Cross. In just his second start, freshman QB RJ Nitti threw for more yards than any Bison QB in more than five years, Josh Brake became Bucknell s first 100-yard receiver in two years and CJ Williams posted his second 100-yard rushing game of the season as Bucknell equaled its season high for points. Dartmouth, which is among the nation s leaders in total offense and near the bottom in total defense, is coming off a 20-13 home victory over Yale. The Big Green is 2-2 on the year, but all four contests have been decided by a touchdown or less, including a recent four-overtime loss to Penn. Saturday s matchup will be the middle contest in a three-game homestand for Dartmouth. ABOUT DARTMOUTH Dartmouth is 2-2, 1-1 Ivy League this season and is coached by Buddy Teevens. Teevens is in his second tour of duty as the Big Green s head coach. He led the squad from 1987 through 1991 and returned to the helm in 2005. Dartmouth QB Dalyn Williams has completed 83 of 145 passes for 981 yards. The Big Green have 938 rushing yards, with Dominick Pierre (535) and Williams (333) leading the way. Pierre and DB Mike Banaciski were named the Ivy League Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively, for their performances in a 20-13 victory over Yale in the Big Green s homecoming game last Saturday. BUCKNELL VS. DARTMOUTH SERIES NOTES Dartmouth leads 5-1. Dartmouth has won four in a row. Bucknell s lone win in the series came in 1989 by a 36-20 margin. The game took place on the day Bucknell s Memorial Stadium was renamed as Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium. The teams first played in 1963 and then faced each other four times in a five-year span from 1989 to 1993. LAST TIME VS. DARTMOUTH Dartmouth 43, Bucknell 20 (Sept. 18, 2010 - Lewisburg, Pa.) Bucknell led 20-6, but Dartmouth scored the final 37 points of the contest. Dartmouth s Nick Schwieger rushed for 216 yards, the sixth-highest total in program history. Current Bucknell senior captain Derrick Palmer recorded the first interception of his career. INSIDE THE HOLY CROSS BOX SCORE All 78 of the game s points were scored in the first 45:42 of the contest. Bucknell had a 100-yard rusher (CJ Williams) and 100-yard receiver (Josh Brake) in the same game for the first time since 2011 vs. Georgetown. QB RJ Nitti threw for the second-most yards in a game by a Bison freshman (271). That was also the most passing yards by a Bucknell player since 2008. Bucknell freshman WR Will Carter made his season debut and totaled seven receptions for 74 yards. Bucknell piled up a season-high 423 yards and punted just three times one week after setting the school record for punts in a game. Holy Cross forced five Bucknell turnovers (4 INT, 1 fumble). Holy Cross freshman QB Peter Pujals threw three touchdowns and ran for three more scores.

Byers leads Bucknell with 50 tackles this season. He ranks 21st in the nation and leads the Patriot League in tackles per game (10.0). The Bison last defeated an Ivy League foe in September 2011 when they upended Princeton, 34-9. Bucknell has lost to both Cornell and Harvard twice since that victory over the Tigers. PILING UP YARDS Bucknell s 423 yards of total offense last week vs. Holy Cross marked the second-most by the Bison under fourth-year head coach Joe Susan. The only time Bucknell had more yards since Susan took over in 2010 was last year against Colgate when it registered 531 yards in a 47-33 loss. Most Yards of Total Offense (since 2010) 1. 531 (Oct. 27, 2012 - Colgate 47, Bucknell 33) 2. 423 (Oct. 12, 2013 - Holy Cross 51, Bucknell 27) 3. 372 (Oct. 2, 2010 - Cornell 21, Bucknell 12) 4. 367 (Sept. 18, 2010 - Dartmouth 43, Bucknell 20) 5. 365 (Sept. 22, 2012 - Lafayette 20, Bucknell 14) SUSAN TO MOVE INTO 11TH PLACE Fourth-year head coach Joe Susan will coach his 39th game at Bucknell Saturday afternoon. He will break a three-way tie with By Dickson (1910-13) and Carroll Huntress (1965-68) for 11th place on the program s games coached list. Next up for Susan to catch is Pete Reynolds, who coached 48 games from 1919-1923. QUICK HITTERS Bison seniors Travis Friend and Jeff Goyette have played in all 38 games over the last four years. Bison opponents have scored points in nine consecutive quarters. Bucknell had 13 turnovers in 2012. The Bison have 19 turnovers in 2013. Earlier this year, Bucknell used three different starting QBs (Brandon Wesley vs. Cornell, Trey Lauletta vs. Sacred Heart, RJ Nitti vs. Lafayette) in consecutive games for the first time since 2008 (Marcello Trigg vs. Holy Cross, Andrew Lair vs. Lafayette, C.J. Hopson vs. Lehigh). This is the first time Bucknell has used three different starting quarterbacks in a season since 2008. 65 of Bucknell s 74 points this season have come in the first half. Bucknell s 86 tackles vs. Holy Cross equaled the most by the Bison under Joe Susan. The squad also had 86 tackles in 2010 vs. Marist and in 2012 against both Delaware and Georgetown. BRANDON WESLEY RECORD WATCH Bucknell senior QB Brandon Wesley broke Scott Auchenbach s school record for career total offense vs. Marist. He now has 5,756 career yards of total offense. Wesley enters Saturday s contest just 36 yards behind Auchenbach s career passing yards mark (5,256-5,220). Wesley is one of just two players in program history to throw for 5,000 yards and one of four to register 4,000 yards. Wesley entered the 2013 season in first place on Bucknell s career pass completions and pass attempts lists. He is now 480-for-838 (.573) in his career. The versatile Wesley has rushed for 536 yards in his career. He also caught his third career pass against Marist when he hauled in one of his own throws that was batted back to him. Wesley missed the Sacred Heart, Lafayette and Holy Cross games with a leg injury. The Sacred Heart contest was the first game he had not started since the first game of his freshman year at Duquesne. He had played in all 35 games since he first arrived at Bucknell in 2010.
