Performance Information Priority Seating: During the changing of teams we will have a priority section (closer to the floor) blocked off for the parents, family, and friends of the teams that will be performing. This is to guarantee that everyone has the best view possible of their team and/or individual they have come to see. FOR COACHES Music: Please bring your music on a CD. DJ services will be provided to play your music, however a representative from your team must remain at the music table during the performance. If you have a blank space in the music it must be incorporated on the CD. ALL PROGRAMS ARE ENCOURAGED TO EMAIL MUSIC PRIOR TO EVENT TO GANURANTEE SOUND QUALITY (A REPRESENTATIVE IS STILL REQUIRED START AND STOP MUSIC) Please list your Program Name/Team Name & Division. Routine Length: Each team will be given 2 minutes and 30 seconds to perform their routine. All or part may be performed to music. Timing will begin with the team s first movement or sound, and end with the last movement or sound. There will be a 5-point penalty assessed for going over the time limit beyond 30 sec... No penalties for any routines under 2 min. 30 sec. Performance Floor: Teams will perform on a competition size mat (7 strips, 42x42) Please note that the Floor Lines run HORIZONTALLY Judges and Score Sheets: A panel of knowledgeable judges will evaluate team performance. The Head Judge s score will be used to decide placement in the event of a tie. Score sheets will be handed out with placement trophies. Hospitality Room: A hospitality room will be provided for all coaches and judges only. Coaches please stop by to relax and converse with your colleagues and enjoy our wonderful selection of refreshments. Division Entry: Please base division entry on participant age as of AUGUST 1, 2016. Divisions are listed on the REGISTRATION FORM. Note: Divisions may be split or combined depending on the number registered. Your Division is based on the Average Age of all of your competitors. Please add all the ages of your members as of August 1 st and Divide that number by the total number of participants on your team. That NUMBER is your average age and determines your age division placement. Division Eligibility: SHOW ONLY: This Exhibition Division is for teams who want to showcase their routines without being scored. Participant Team Trophies Awarded. FOOTBALL LEAGUE SIDELINE DIVISION: This Division is Open to Teams who Cheer Sideline at Games July 2016-November 2016 for corresponding Football League Teams. Competitive Routine Guidelines COMPETITIVE RECREATION DIVISION: This division is open to any non-sideline competitive recreational cheer programs in the State of Georgia. Example: Private Gyms, All-Star Recreational Teams, Football League Sideline Teams who compete AFTER December 2016 MIDDLE SCHOOL: This is a non-sanctioned GHSA event. Middle & High School teams are welcome to register to compete or perform at this event. Our Competitions will be fair for all programs registered. General Rules Jewelry of any kind is prohibited. This includes earrings, nose, tongue, and belly button rings. This also includes necklaces and pins on uniforms. Glitter makeup is allowed but no spray glitter. Mascots may not participate in stunts, pyramids, or tosses and may not serve as a spotter during the performance. Only the following props are allowed: signs, poms, banners, flags and mega phones. Use of any apparatus to propel a participant is not permitted. Mascots may compete in the routine but should clearly be marked mascot. Spotters will not be provided. Please bring spotters for your team TUMBLING Tumbling with props is not allowed. All gymnastic stunts must originate and land on ground level. Tumbling over or under a stunt is not permitted. Spotted, assisted, or connected tumbling is prohibited. (Example, double cartwheels or chorus line flips) PARTNER STUNTS/PYRAMIDS All stunts or pyramids are limited to two persons high. A spotter is required for all stunts. When tossing a flyer from one stunt to another, one of the initial main bases must stay in contact with the flyer at all times. BASKET TOSSES Basket tosses must be executed with both base s feet on the ground. Basket tosses must be caught by 3 catchers. The original two bases and a back spot. A back spot must always be positioned at the head and shoulder area through the cradle. Basket tosses must land in a cradle position only. Flipping baskets are not permitted. DEDUCTIONS 5 Points (per occurrence) if a parent spotter assists a stunt or cradle in any way. An additional spotter should come in contact with a stunt only if it is falling. 5 Points total deduction for time violation over 30 sec. 5 Points (per occurrence) for each general or safety rule violation. There is NO out of bounds penalty. SPORTSMANSHIP All Performers and spectators are expected to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner at all times. Unsportsmanlike conduct will NOT BE TOLERATED. Please be respectful of all teams, fans, and staff.
