Dear Coach, I would like to invite you and your team to Exeter Township High School on Sunday, January 19th, 2014 for our 4th Annual, Exeter Eagles Cheer Challenge. In this packet you will find the registration form, medical waiver, judging criteria, address to Exeter Township Senior High School as well as important competition day information. This competition will be conducted in accordance with NFHS/AACCA. For more information please go to www.exetertownshipcheerleading.com. The early registration fee for each team will be $125.00. Early Registration form and payments must be received no later than December 9, 2013. Please make your check or money order payable to E.C.P.C. Division Guidelines Notes on Divisions: Competition officials reserve the right to combine levels as needed. These decisions will be made to create a fair and balanced competition. Division changes should be made at least one week prior to the competition date. While we will do our best to accommodate each team, changes requested after this date are not guaranteed. There will be no changing division of the day of competition. Competition Rules, Regulations, and Guidelines Rules, Regulations and Divisions: We will be following NFHS/AACCA rules and regulations. To obtain an official copy of the rules, regulations and guidelines, please refer to www.aacca.org or www.varsity.com Exeter Eagles 2013 Cheer Challenge reserves the right to combine divisions if necessary. Conduct and Sportsmanship: All squads are responsible for the conduct of members of their program including staff, parents, fans and participants. All the teams work hard on their routine so we ask that all spectators conduct themselves in a respectful manner any distasteful behavior will result in penalization of the squad and/or expulsion from the competition. Safety We will be following NFHS and AACCA rules so please obtain a copy BEFORE the competition to become familiar with the guidelines safety/head judges will deduct 5 points per illegal move which can result in a change in your team s placement so please know the rules! Please NO JEWERLY OR GLITTER this will result in 5 point penalty! Temporary spirit tattoos are allowed. Squads are encouraged to perform skills within their ability level. Time Limits and Routine Structure Timing will begin with the first official movement or voice, or the first note of music, whichever comes first. The music portion of your routine may not exceed 1 ½ minutes for school divisions. Total routine length is limited to 2 ½ minutes for all School and 3 minutes for Recreation Teams ONLY. All performances must begin with each participant having at least one foot on the floor. Both feet leaving the floor constitute the beginning of the timed portion. If a routine is interrupted by equipment failure, the team will be permitted to perform their routine from the point which the disruption occurred. In case of injury the team may continue with the routine or withdraw from the competition. Exeter Eagles 2014 Cheer Challenge officials reserve the right to stop a routine in the case of injury. Music Coaches will be expected to start and stop their own music. There will be a one point per second penalty for every second a routine exceeds the time limits established. This will be deducted off the total score. For example: 3 seconds over will results in a 3 point overall penalty. Awards and Judging Trophies will be given out to the top 3 teams in each division, more for the larger divisions. Judges will be experienced, qualified and impartial individuals with a Company affiliate, high school, college and/or All-Star coaching background. Decisions made by the judging panel are final and may not be appealed. All questions/concerns should be brought to the judging coordinator and not an individual judge. General Liability Cheerleaders will not be permitted to participate unless a medical waiver has been filled out. We will have a security staff member in the auditorium where the teams leave their items while they perform however since incidents still occur the Exeter Eagles 2014 Cheer Challenge officials and entities are not responsible for personal items that may be lost or stolen. Please keep all valuables with you at all times or leave them at home. Exeter Township High School & Junior High School, Coaching Staff, Event Staff, Cheerleaders, Faculty, School Board and any Exeter Township School District employee are not responsible for any injury to participants. Participants assume all risk and responsibility Competition Floor and Warm-up Area Competition and warm-up floors will be nine panels in size (54 x 42 ). Each team will be given a 8-minute warm-up period prior to competing.

Some item s that will be sold will, T-shirts, 50/50 Raffle, Bake Sale and Cheer Grams Pre-Order T-Shirts Pre-order your Exeter Eagles 2014 Cheer Challenge t-shirt ($15.00). Pre-orders will be delivered to your team the day of the event (see attached order form). Medical and Liability Waiver For good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged, I as parent or legal guardians of a minor (hereinafter minor ), hereby grant the permission necessary to allow Minor to participate in the above Event to be conducted by the Exeter Township High School & Junior High School. I acknowledge and agree, in my own behalf and on behalf of the Minor, that such participation subjects Minor to the possibility of physical illness or injury (minimal, serious, catastrophic and/or death) and that I, in my own behalf and on behalf of the Minor, acknowledge that the Minor is assuming the risk of such illness or injury by participating in the Event. In the event of such illness or injury, I authorize Exeter Township High School & Junior High School to obtain necessary medical treatment for the Minor and hereby, in my own behalf and on the behalf of the Minor, release and hold harmless the Exeter Township high School & Junior High School, and its' respective directors, officers, representatives, members, agents, and employees, the hosting site and their respective affiliates (hereinafter collectively "Releases") in the exercise of this authority. I further acknowledge and understand that I will be responsible for any and all medical and related bills that may be incurred on behalf of the Minor for any illness or injury that the Minor may sustain during the Event and while traveling to and from the site for the Event whether or not the Event actually occurs. I, in my own behalf and on behalf of the Minor, further agree to release and to hold harmless Releases from any and all liability for negligence or any other claim, judgment, loss, liability, cost and expenses (including, without limitations, attorney's fees and costs) arising out of or connected with the Event, including any claims arising out of or connected with any illness or injury that the Minor may incur or sustain during the Event, all activities associated with the Event and while traveling to and from the site for the Event whether or not the Event actually occurs. I further expressly agree to indemnify and hold harmless Releases and Release's heirs, successors, assigns, executors and administrators against loss from any further claims, demands or actions that may subsequently be brought by Minor or by any other person or persons on account of damages of any character resulting to Minor in any way from the forgoing activities. I further agree to reimburse and to make good to Releases any loss, damages or costs Releases may have to pay as result of any such action, claim or demand. I represent that any medication to which Minor is allergic or is currently taking are listed below. I agree that Minor shall bring medications which Minor is currently taking with him/her to the Event and that he/she shall consume the prescribed dosage.
