CHEERLEADING Registration for fall 2015 Calling all Cheerleaders grades 1 st -8 th. This is a great opportunity for your child to get involved and make some lasting friendships. The cheer season runs with STA football and is typically from September to November. The games are usually on Saturday morning/early afternoon. We will be holding Cheerleading camp at the school during the week of August 10 th. During camp, the girls will learn the halftime dance and the cheers. There is no fee for camp. It is not a requirement of cheerleading that every girl attends every day of camp but it is encouraged to attend if possible so that the girls can learn the dance routine and be able to participate in halftime at the very start of the season. Once school starts, we will hold practice once per week after school (we will email times). Parents must be able to drive their child to the games or arrange for car pool but a parent or guardian must remain at the games. Our home games are held at Garnet Valley High School football field. Away games will be decided on a case by case basis. This is a very laid back, FUN activity for your daughter to get involved in. There is no pressure here! All that is expected of the girls is to have fun and show their school spirit. The cost for cheer is usually around $90 for the season and the only other possible expense would be the cheer banquet which is typically held in early December and costs approximately $12 per person (includes food, drink and trophy). No one will be turned away for an inability to pay. We supply the cheer uniform and pom-poms. White
sneakers, black or dark green bloomers/small shorts (for under skirt) are required. Uniforms are returned. To sign up for STA Cheerleading for FALL 2015 please send in this form to School before JUNE 12, 2015 to the attention of Dominique Ryan (c/o Ruby Ryan 1B) or email Dominique at ryan.clan@verizon.net.
