Ryan (Chairman), Ms J. McSwain, Mr. D. Conway, Mr. C. Agnew, Mr. K. Sheppard Riding Changes / Jockey Information Race Horse Rider Replaced By Reason 5 Heez Notorious C. Schofield H. Childs Must produce Medical Certificate prior to riding again: Did not attend meeting: B. Higgins Other Comments / Explanations: Race 1 SCHWEPPES SV 3YO MAIDEN PLATE - 1875 metres: Prior to correct weight T. Bell rider of The Tinker s Son third placegetter viewed the official video rounding the home turn before deciding not to proceed with an objection. After passing the winning post on the first occasion Red Hot Rum had to be steadied to avoid the heels of Sultana (Nikita McLean) which shifted in when not quite sufficiently clear. Ms. McLean was notified to exercise far greater care when in similar circumstances. In the early and middle stages Tiki was inclined to over-race. Approaching the 1200 metres Sandbeeta had to be checked when tightened for room between Red Hot Rum, which knuckled and shifted in and The Tinker s Son which brushed the running rail and then shifted out abruptly. Fionn McCool which was following Sandbeeta, was hampered in consequence.

The Tinker s Son was held up for a clear run from the 600 metres until approaching the entrance of the straight. Near the 500 metres Red Hot Rum and The Tinker s Son raced tightly between Sultana and Sandbeeta. Shortly after this Red Hot Rum, which was taken out slightly by The Tinker s Son, had to be steadied to avoid the heels of Sandbeeta, which shifted in slightly. As this incident could not be attributed to any one rider Stewards took no further action. Rounding the home turn Red Hot Rum became unbalanced when tightened for room between The Tinker s Son which was shifting out in an attempt to improve, and Schiller s List which shifted in. Near the 200 metres The Tinker s Son which was inclined to race greenly, shifted out and made contact with Red Hot Rum before being straightened by its rider. As a result of this incident both horses became unbalanced. Also near the 200 metres Fionn McCool and Sandbeeta brushed when both horses shifted ground slightly. Over the concluding stages Fionn McCool hung in under pressure and proved difficult for its rider D. Holland to ride out in his normal manner. R. Maloney rider of Tiki believed the filly may not have been suited by todays track conditions. Race 2 CENTRE STATE ASPHALTING MAIDEN PLATE - 1212 metres: After being placed in its starting stall Henasar became fractious. Henasar was removed from its starting stall, examined by the Club s Veterinary Surgeon and deemed unfit to start. Acting on this advice Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Henasar at 1.36 p.m. Subsequently Stewards ordered the following deductions to betting All monies bet for a win and/or place and concession betting on Henasar to be refunded. All successful bets on horses prior to time of withdrawal are subject to the following deductions in the dollar from the face value of the ticket: Win Bets #5 11 Cents Place Bets (For Winner) #5 9 cents Place Bets (for 2) #13 10 cents Place Bets (for 3) #17 12 cents All monies bet after the Stewards declaration of withdrawal to be paid at face value of ticket/ Heza Bit Hissy jumped away very awkwardly, shifted in and as a result had to be checked off the heels of Albadeen and lost ground.

Also at the start Luqman and Captain Smith were slow to jump away. Captain Smith then did not muster any early speed for a considerable distance and lost further ground. In the early stages Heza Bit Hissy over-raced badly. In the middle stages So Kosher over-raced. Approaching the 800 metres Rich Mahogany which was also over-racing, shifted out abruptly to void the heels of So Kosher. In the middle stages Be Good Richie, Mykola, Auramour, Heza Bit Hissy and Smoke N Whisky all over-raced. Rich Mahogany was obliged to race wide without cover. So Kosher was inclined to race greenly in the straight and then approaching the winning post shifted in and had to be checked to avoid the heels of Rich Mahogany. C. Newitt rider of Mykola explained that the gelding jumped away awkwardly and due to this settled further back in the field than he intended. Subsequent to the race the Clubs Farrier reported that Mykola had cast an offside front plate during the running of the race. Race 3 WWW. RACING NETWORK.COM. AU 0-68 HANDICAP - 1875 metres: On jumping away Blaze Adrift shifted in and then as a result had to be checked off the heels of Code. After passing the winning post on the first occasion Be Tolerant had to be steadied off the heel of Bartholemew (T. Sadler) which shifted in when not clear. T. Sadler was notified to exercise more care when shifting ground in future. Code which was pressured by Bartholemew from passing the 700 metres, gave ground quickly over the concluding stages Rounding the home turn Blaze Adrift attempted a neat run to the inside of Code, which had commenced to weaken and as a result was tightened for room for a short distance. Near the 200 metres Blaze Adrift was again momentarily tightened for room by Code which was taken in by Bartholemew. After passing the 200 metres Prussian Dancer when making ground, had to be steadied and shift out to avoid the heels of Bartholemew. When being steadied Ms. N. McLean the mare s rider, momentarily lost the use of her near side rein.

Stewards questioned T. Sadler rider of Bartholemew in regards to him applying pressure to the leader Code from the 700 metre mark onwards. T. Sadler explained that he had been instructed by Ms. C. Alderson, co-trainer of Bartholemew to commence riding the gelding along at this point of the race as this was the way Bartholemew performs at its best as it was inclined to be one paced. Ms. Alderson confirmed these instructions. T. Sadler further explained that in hindsight he may have applied a little too much pressure and may have been better conserving his mount until the top of the straight. Stewards noted T. Sadler s comments. Race 4 HANGING ROCK WINERY MAIDEN PLATE - 1469 metres: Shivers raced wide without cover. Approaching the 300 metres Royal Enchantress which had commenced to weaken, raced in restricted room between Classy Francesca and Enhancements, which shifted in slightly. In the straight Shivers and Danarule came together on several occasions, due to both horses shifting ground. Also in the straight Enhancements laid in under pressure C. Newitt rider of Royal Enchantress explained that after being tightened near the 300 metres the mare then gave ground quickly over the concluding stages. Race 5 HAPPY 90 BIRTHDAY JEAN MINETTI CLASS 1 HANDICAP - 1469 metres: After jumping away awkwardly Bells Of Troy failed to stretch out in the early stages and as a result lost ground. In the straight Heez Notorious laid in under pressure. Race 6 SPORTSBET. COM.AU TOP TOTE PLUS 0-58 HANDICAP - 1875 metres: Prior to correct weight C. Newitt rider of Jaja Malu fourth placegetter lodged an objection against Roman Pleasure being declared the winner on the grounds of alleged interference rounding the home turn. As Stewards were of the opinion that the interference suffered by Jaja Malu to be greater than the margin between first and fourth Stewards upheld the objection the amended placings being 1 (Mr. O Postrophe ), 7 (Iron Rose), 5 (Jaja Malu), 3 (Roman Pleasure). Ronald John was obliged to race wide without cover throughout. In the early stages Iron Rose over-raced and got its head up on several occasions. In the straight Iron Rose laid in under pressure.

D. Yendall pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding, the careless riding being that near the 400 metres he permitted his mount to shift out when attempting to gain a clear run to the outside of Mr. O Postrophe tightening the running of Jaja Malu out on to Ronald John resulting in Jaja Malu clipping that gelding s heels and having to be checked. During this incident Ronald John was hampered and taken out on to Iron Rose which was severely hampered as a consequence. D. Yendall was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence midnight Monday 26 November, 2012 and to expire midnight Wednesday 5 December 2012, a total of 10 race meetings, 5 city 5 country In assessing penalty Stewards deemed the incident to be in the mid range and took into account D. Yendall s good riding record and guilty plea. C. Parish rider of Iron Rose will be severely reprimanded for using his whip in a forehand manner on the mare in three consecutive strides. Race 7 NMIT F & M 0-58 HANDICAP - 1112 metres: Lakeside Lass jumped away awkwardly and lost ground. Near the 800 metres Smiling Hussy had to be steadied to avoid the heels of Towan, which shifted in and away from Leconi. Also near the 800 metres Lakeside Lass had to be steadied when racing in restricted room between Smiling Hussy and Perfect Offering, which shifted in. Throughout the race She s A Monet hung out. The Lynx was obliged to race wide without cover for the majority of the race. In the early part of the straight Smiling Hussy had a tendency to lay in. Near the 200 metres J. Londregan rider of Pau Hana accidentally dropped his whip After passing the 200 metres Leconi which had commenced to give ground then raced in restricted room to the inside of Ella Supero, which was shifting in under pressure. A post race Veterinary examination of Malionga revealed a slower than normal recovery. Mr. D. Binaisse trainer of Malionga will be contacted in the ensuing days to ascertain if anything comes to light which may have affected the filly s performance today. Race 8 MICK WHITE EXCAVATIONS 0-68 HANDICAP - 1112 metres: Cosmo was slow to jump away. After passing the 800 metres Voodoo Prince when over-racing had to be checked to avoid the heels of Suvarna (D. Thornton). Vals Boy which was following Voodoo Prince was also eased to avoid that gelding s heels. Also at this point Kid Dynamite shifted out when over-racing and had to be checked off the heel of Rockshaft which shifted in slightly. Whilst Stewards acknowledged that Voodoo Prince had commenced to over-race quite badly before being crossed by Suvarna they will

however remind the mare s rider D. Thornton in relation to not slowing the pace of any race excessively. Dazareel was obliged to race wide without cover throughout. Rounding the home turn Cosmo was momentarily held up for a clear run. J. Mott rider of Voodoo Prince which gave ground quickly in the straight advised the gelding over-raced in the early stages and this was detrimental to Voodoo Prince finishing off its race.
