BRYNNA FC MATCHDAY PROGRAMME v Tondu Robins AFC Wednesday 23rd August Kick Off 6:30pm
Managers Notes Firstly, I'd like to welcome everyone that has taken their time to download the programme and we hope that you continue to support the club. This is my first managers notes and I look forward to doing them as the season progresses and we embark on what we all hope will be a competitive season. We have put the players through a tough pre season with the aim that they will be both fit and ready for battle come the first game of the season at home to Broadlands on the 30th August. When I was approached to take the job as manager, I already knew of all the hard work that was needed in order to get the club back to where they wanted to be but I also knew that I wasn't going to be able to do it on my own. From day one in pre season I have asked the players to give me one thing...hard work. As pre season has gone on, our players have worked tirelesly on their fitness and match sharpness and they have seen their performances and results get better and better. We have a saying on the wall of our dressing room "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard" and the players have bought into that massively. We have a long way to go to be at the level that we want but make no mistake, Brynna FC is a club on the rise again and we look forward to all the support that both fans and local businesses are willing to give us. I thank you once again for the support and hope you enjoy the games over the next month. Steve Davies-Evans

TODAYS OPPONENTS The Gaffa's Views Tondu Robins AFC This week's game will be another challenge for us. It's been all change at Tondu after a difficult season last time out but Nigel Brett has now taken over as manager and he's recruited alot of good players there so this will be a different Tondu team to the one that we faced last season. They have a familiar face in Ryan Price who I'm sure will enjoy coming back for this game and we'll give him a warm welcome I'm sure although we certainly won't be looking to make his game an easy one. With it being our last pre season game, we will be focused on making sure that we do all the things right ahead of the first league game of the season on the 30th against Broadlands. We have been competitive in the last two pre season games and we will be looking to get the win to send us into the league on the back of what would be three deserved wins.
LAST TIME OUT Brynna FC 2 Talbot Green FC 1 Wednesday 16th August 2017 - Kick off: 6:30pm This was hard a worked win for the eagles against a very well drilled Talbot Green team. Talbot Green moved the ball around very well in the first 10-15 minutes and put Brynna under a little pressure but the home side saw out any danger and started to take control of the game. A defence marshalled by 'keeper Gareth Martin and defenders Leon Williams and Morgan Roberts-Young got to grips with the dangermen of Talbot Green and that allowed the forward players of Brynna to starting building attacks of our own. Man of the Match Drew Watson put the home side ahead midway through the first half when he cut in from the left and curled a wonder strike into the top corner which was the least Brynna deserved. After the break there was more strong play from the home team and we doubled our lead on 63 minutes when Aaron Bull capitilised on a good run to finish well past the on rushing 'keeper. Despite Talbot Green pulling a goal back with 15 minutes to go, Brynna held strong to record our secnd win on the bounce aswell as getting more pre season minutes into the lads legs ahead of the league game with Broadlands on August 30th.
