Our purpose here at Pacific Wilderness is to provide high quality diver training. Our programs cover all levels of training from entry level diver thru OpenWater Instructor. Those wishing to enhance their competitive edge in the diving market, continuing education courses are also available for the newly certified Instructor as well as the seasoned veteran. Courses like, Emergency First Responder Instructor, Dan O2 Instructor, and 16 PADI specialties are conducted throughout the year. Pacific Wilderness has two IDC Centers in the Southern California area. Both are full service dive facilities with equipment repair departments, rental services, and retail sales departments. Each center is equipped with state of the art classrooms and contains audio/visual equipment which is used during your training to enhance your learning and career development. Our San Pedro location is home to our Custom built indoor heated pool & D.O.T. Approved Tank Hydro-Testing Facility. Enclosed you will find Instructor Course outlines, Cost worksheets, and a listing of I.D.C. & I.E. Schedules which outline scheduled courses offered here at Pacific Wilderness. Typically the IDC is conducted over four weekends, however, if you have a problem fitting the course into your schedule, please call us and we will do our best to accommodate your needs with a privately scheduled I.D.C. Instructor Development Course Prerequisites: PADI DiveMaster Certification or Equivalent. Certified diver for at least six months and Minimum of 18 Years of Age. 60 logged dives (with experience in night, deep, and navigation) * EFR Primary & Secondary Care Course completion (or qualifying training) within the last 24 months.
