It is a fierce competition between teams from all over the Seattle area! We want to Congratulate our teams in the tournament! Treasure Challenge - "We are the One" - 2nd Place - 2nd grade - Sanaa Menon, Zachary Wu, Annika Kapur, Beckett Auckland, and Parker Stines "I forgot" - 2nd place - 4th grade - Jax Rajtar, Alex Rajtar, Noah Chamberlain, Henry Daw, Samantha Brooks, and Charlotte Pearse "First Location" - 2nd Place - 5th grade - Clara Hickman, Kayla Kapur, Cleo Bravo, Brooke Hayrynen, Aria Islam, Sanjana Dixit, and Juliana Guzman Maze Craze Challenge - "Fireball Coconuts" - 2nd Place - 4th grade - Aditya Prasanna, and Krishna Subrahmanyan And, our "Rising Stars" in Kindergarten to 2nd grade did an amazing show both on "instant Challenge" and "Friends Everywhere" "First Location", and "I forgot" teams will be moving on to the Washington State tournament in a few weeks. Way to go and thank you for representing Creekside at Destination Imagination this year! A special thanks to all the parents who have given time to be 'team managers' and volunteers. Much appreciate your time. Popcorn Friday Popcorn Friday is looking for Volunteers to fill some spots. It's a fun way to see the kids at lunch! Talent Show Creekside's Annual Talent Show is coming soon! Mark your calendars for Friday, April 27th. Doors open at 5 for the visual arts displays, show starts at 6. If your student is interested in participating please sign up via creeksideptsa.ourschoolpages.com from March 26th-March 30th. Students can sing, dance, do a skit, show their yo-yo, hula hoop, stilts, or pogo stick tricks, demonstrate martial arts, play an instrument (or two or three at the same time), quote a poem or read an original poem. Be creative and have fun. Acts need to be 2 minutes or less. If you have a child who wants to be on stage but doesn t want to put together a number, you can sign him or her up to participate in a pre-choreographed ensemble number Staci Gould is putting together. Mandatory rehearsals, accompanied by a parent, on Wednesday April 18 and 25th after school. If you have a Creekside artist in your home, sign him or her up to submit art or writing for the visual arts section that will be on display before and during the show. Math Club The Creekside Math Club competed in The Math is Cool competition Friday night. They had been preparing for this competition since October and their hard work paid off. Creekside took home a 3rd place win out of 20+ schools! They also had two individual winners. Owen Cao received 7th place and Andrew Lu received 13th place. Congratulations Creekside Math Club!

Science Night Thank you to everyone who came to our Family Science & Engineering Night. There was so many exhibits for everyone to learn about, experience and explore! Among the favorite stations were the Reptile Man, Spartabots, DIY Flashlights, and the Giant Lever. THANK YOU to all of our wonderful volunteers, and especially our event chairs Kristine Chen and Cece Kennedy, who worked so hard to make the event a success!
