Since then we've had many come on board from Canada, Eastern Caribbean, Australia and most recently, India. A few pioneering clubs wanted to raise the bar even higher. Aim for a spot at the top read the search engine optimization (SEO) tutorial in the new KiwanisOne Knowledgebase at www.kiwanisone.org/websiteseo. HOW TO Save time updating your site with built-in page controls Page controls in the full version Club Management System are a powerful and time-saving feature that the club webmaster can use to his or her advantage. The controls can be inserted into any page of your public website to automatically pull in and display information from your KiwanisOne private member portal. Example: when you enter club meeting info on the private member portal side, you can use the Meetings page control to have that same info automatically displayed on your public website. Then every time you add a new meeting voila! It is automatically displayed in both places. No need to duplicate your work. Watch this Page Control video tutorial to learn how page controls can help you add dynamic content to your site and save more time managing club tasks. HOW TO No time to update your club's site? Borrow, cut and paste. Use the club website example at www.kiwanisone.org/idealsite to get ideas or 'borrow' content. Cut and paste text into Notepad and then into your own website editor and personalize (and/or format) for your club. Regular news updates are an easy way to keep your site fresh too. Proposed club bylaws need review A new version of the Standard Form for Club Bylaws has been proposed and member review is requested. HOW TO Use the Secretary dashboard in KiwanisOne The secretary dashboard in KiwanisOne (club secretaries see when logged in) gives an invaluable snapshot of your club when arriving in the system to manage tasks. At your fingertips, you get: Your club's membership numbers Link to your club roster Button to update your website address (URL) Quick links to review or update your meeting information

6 of 8 4/23/2012 10:55 AM List of SLP programs you sponsor (and ability to edit) Critical announcements for the month (in red) List of most popular downloads Frequently-used links Pay special attention to the critical announcements posted in red; those are hot topics that change whenever there is something you need to know. Additionally, there is a place at the bottom of this dashboard where you can submit a question to your district office or Kiwanis International for fast service. You can also request a member name change here. Club secretaries should check this dashboard every time they log in. Take 7 minutes to watch and learn how this system cuts down on admin time, benefits your members and provides a great online first impression with very little effort. Member Q&A QUESTION: I'm the secretary and I want to change the email addresses for who receives a copy of my monthly report. How do I do that? ANSWER: Log in to KiwanisOne as usual at www.kiwanisone.org/login and click on the Monthly Reports tab. Look for the blue link that says "Email Setup". Click that link and you can add or edit the names and email addresses.
