COMPETITION FORMAT AND RULES The 128th U.S. National Target Championships/Hoyt World Open and will follow all rules and procedures from the World Archery Constitution and Rules 2012. This book can be found online at www.archery.org. All 128 th U.S. National Target Championships shooters (Seniors, Masters) will shoot a four distance FITA round per World Archery rules. For additional rules and information on the Easton JOAD Nationals, please visit www.usarchery.org. All Easton JOAD National shooters (Junior, Cadet, Cub, Bowman) will shoot a single distance 144 arrow round according to their age categories as well as defined Easton JOAD Nationals and World Archery rules. Competition Distances: All Easton JOAD National participants will shoot single distances. 144 arrow qualification/ranking round: *Please note that all Compound archers will be shooting on their own individual target face using the 80cm FITA 6-ring target face that scores out to the 5ring. a) Participants may compete as a Bowman through the calendar year of their 12 th birthday. b) Participants may compete as a Cub through the calendar year of their 14 th birthday. c) Participants may compete as a Cadet through the calendar year of their 17 th birthday. d) Participants may compete as a Junior through the calendar year of their 20 th birthday. 4) NATIONAL TARGET CHAMPIONSHIPS AGE CLASSIFICATIONS a) Participants may compete as a Senior at any point (defined classification is at the beginning of the calendar year of their 21 st birthday) b) Participants may compete as a Master in either 50+, 60+, 70+ 5) OFFICIAL PRACTICE Official practice will be limited to 45 minutes prior to scoring rounds on assigned targets. There will be practice targets available on-site during limited hours. 6) COMPLETE REGISTRATION FORMS AND PAYMENT Archers must complete all sections of the appropriate registration form. An archer will not be considered a registered participant unless the registration form, waiver and payment have been received. 7) ENTERING MORE THAN ONE CLASS An archer may compete in more than one discipline (i.e., Compound or Recurve), but may not compete in more than one age category within the same discipline. Separate fees and a separate registration form are required for each discipline in which an archer shoots. OTHER INFORMATION Coaches during Practice and Qualification: Coaches can be in the practice area and are permitted in designated spectator areas during qualification. Coaches are permitted in athlete areas during elimination and team rounds. All coaches must be appropriately credentialed and approved through tournament management. Agents: Credentialed persons assisting para- archers or the tournament officials may assist within the archer area. Photographers: Photographers will be credentialed by USA Archery and the Host Venue, and are bound by the USA Archery media policy. Practice Venue: A practice area will be available on-site however this will only be open during designated times. Anyone who arrives with a pet will be asked to remove the animal before entering the facility. ** AWARDS The award ceremonies will be according to the anticipated schedule.
