Hello Nominees, Homecoming Chairs & Drivers, Advisors, With this week being Homecoming there are a few things you need to know: Class Advisors- Line up on the track with freshmen being first and seniors going last. You need to do this quite expediently as we have a lot to get in. Please make sure you have a banner and music. Please give the music to Katie Van Horn or Krystal Daeschler prior to the game on Friday. Remember the teams have to run off of the field, so you must make room for them and line up quickly! 1) King and Queen Nominees should be dressed nicely & at the football game this Friday, 10/19, by 7:00. (Start of the game) 2) I will have committee members there to greet you & your escorts and line you up. You are the 2nd part of the show as the classes will pay tribute to "Heroes" this year. The classes go first. 3) Boys, we are trying something new with your inclusion in the halftime show! You will be announced first and in alphabetical order. You ll wait by the center of the bleachers on the track. You will line up on the track in front of the bleachers and greet the girls as they are escorted down the track. Please stagger yourselves on the track and as the girls line up with their escort, stand on the other side of the girl... (Escort-Queen Nominee-King Nominee---Escort-Queen Nominee-King Nominee, etc.) 4) After the Runner-up & the Queen are announced, and the Queen crowned, both the King and Queen Nominees will ride around the track in the convertibles. The Queen and her Runner up will go in the last car! You would need to ride 2 boys to 2 girls in the other convertibles staggering boy-girl-boy-girl. 5) If it is sprinkling we go as planned...if it is a downpour we will not be using the convertibles. Drivers-I m sure you thought of this already, but make sure you protect your back seat as the kids will be climbing in, with the girls possibly in heels. You will need to line up your cars on the track as well. You ll come in at the end, pulling up slowly after the Queen is announced. We ll put in 4 kids per car with the last car driving the Queen and Runner-up. After your lap around the track, you re free to pull off. Thank you so very much! Nominees- wave, smile, be happy this doesn t happen every day! Tim-I realize you are a member of the football team. I imagine you ll need to be in the locker room at the half. We will announce your name and mention you re on the team. If your coach thinks he can spare you that will work too. (just come in uniform) *All Nominees must be at the Homecoming Dance Saturday night where you will be introduced and the King announced and crowned. You ll all be expected to share a dance of course! King and Queen dance together, runner-ups dance together!
