BLADERUNNER ULTRA LOW FRICTION REDUCING CENTRALIZER TECHNOLOGY: Downhole Products BladeRunner ultimate friction reducing Spir-O-Lizer is designed to reduce cased hole running drag and maximize openhole stand-off efficiency. Teflon blade inserts will reduce as the liner is run thru the previous casing string to expose the Spir-O-Lizer 360 deg blade form to aid running as the liner enters open hole. Teflon bands in the bore of the centralizer ensure extremely low startup when the liner is rotated during the cementing process. Solid single piece construction with no moving parts eliminates the potential of junk in the wellbore. PERFORMANCE: The BladeRunner has become the unit of choice for a major KSA operator on their 7 and 4 ½ extended reach liner deployments. These ambitious step outs are a challenge to drill but had been even more problematic to case when steel centralizers were run due to the friction they generated. The DHP BladeRunner was selected in an attempt to eliminate/reduce NPT, something that was racking up due to unplanned difficulties while running the liner to TD.So how did the BladeRunner perform?...let s take a look at the actual wells and what was achieved. Liner was run air filled (empty) to overcome high friction factors at precautionary speed to avoid casing collapse and allow the liner to reach bottom. The liner was run to TD without any problems.
