The club found just that when they signed Brian Orakpo as an unrestricted free agent on March 13, 2015. The 6-foot-4-inch, 257-pounder arrived in Tennessee as a three-time Pro Bowl selection, having registered 40 career sacks and 156 quarterback pressures in six seasons (2009-14) with the Washington Redskins. In his first campaign with the Titans, he tied for the team lead with seven sacks, and in 2016, he earned his fourth Pro Bowl berth while leading the team with 10.5 sacks and ranking second on the squad with 49 quarterback pressures. The University of Texas product was originally drafted by the Redskins in the first round (13th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft. CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: In 2016, Orakpo was named to his fourth Pro Bowl after leading the team and tying for sixth in the AFC in sacks with 10.5. He also ranked second on the team with 49 quarterback pressures. In 2015, Orakpo started all 16 games in his first season with the Titans and tied for the team lead with seven sacks. He also led the squad with 12 tackles for loss and 37 quarterback pressures. In 2013, Orakpo earned his third career Pro Bowl berth after leading the Redskins with 10 sacks. Orakpo led or tied for the team lead in sacks in each of his first three seasons with the Redskins. In 2009, Orakpo was selected to his second consecutive Pro Bowl after leading the squad with 8.5 sacks. In 2009, Orakpo earned a Pro Bowl berth and was named to the PFW/ PFWA All-Rookie Team after setting a Redskins rookie record and leading all NFL rookies with 11 sacks. TITANS TIDBITS: Orakpo annually hosts The Brian Orakpo Leukemia Golf Classic to raise money for the National Capital Area Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Orakpo is a good friend with former Titans safety Michael Griffin. The two played together for three seasons at the University of Texas and Griffin was an integral part in helping recruit Orakpo to Nashville.
